This may not be popular but its a view, I actually agree with Fredluck, however good a scientist AS may be I have felt for a long time that his strengths do not lie in being a CEO and being a CEO of a PLC is a different skill set.
As many have pointed out his comms to shareholders have not been great (one of the mainstays of a CEO’s job) and as Starbright pointed out…..why bother inviting the men in suits to SD day to then just baffle them with complicated science (and yes I know it was called science day), I do think that AS treats it more as a science project than a business.
I have said before ….just because you are a good forklift driver it doesn’t mean you can run the warehouse and I for one would love to see a respected board member from a big Pharma installed as CEO and given the credibility issues that I think the market still seems to with AS I think that what be viewed in a very positive light.
