Richob, the short positions showing are the position as of yesterday, any change of their position on any given day has to be reported by 3.30pm on the following day, although as has been said before they are not reported below .5%..... but currently both Bronte and Jupiter are not below that threshold.

The reason I said it was bizarre is because by my reckoning in bronte's case they opened around 1.15 and have seen it go all the way down to .40p without closing and have now watched it go all the way to 1.40 and still haven't made any move.

Jupiter's average I think is in the high 130's and they did close some at around .50p so they will still be in profit.

Up to close of play yesterday shorts still showing no movement from .50 and .58....... all very bizarre.

Are you seriously suggesting that 8 months into a trial that at the moment to outsiders at least appears to be going well .....that even without bad news but because of TA the SP might retrace back to 65p .......thats ridiculous.

Going back 18 months 2 years you posted some interesting stuff and certainly understand the workings of Avacta far better than I do but to honest these days you seem to post more about your trading prowess than anything else....which now makes me suspicious.

radav....I concur with your assessment and would plump for 'incompetence', I've said before that I thought it was madness that they would go short when they did and at the time most people agreed......yet they called it right, ....... however I'll put my neck on the line and say that this time not closing when they are within inches of their opening point......they have called it very wrong.

Still no reduction in the shorts yesterday which will probably come as a surprise to most but it does mean the lift to the SP is yet to come....although I did wonder this morning with a lot of large sells going through if they were actually increasing!

Yes it does seem that that they have finally woken up in the Bronte/Jupiter offices and realised that they are about 2 weeks behind the curve.

Yes I was pleased to hear AS talking several times (and sounding like he meant it) about creating shareholder value which until now has appeared (wrongly) to very much be taking a back seat, for me, today was the first time he has started to sound like a CEO of a publicly listed company rather than a scientist heading up a research project......and I see that as a big positive.

Cityone is right, if there is any change to a shorters position on any given day they are obliged to notify that change by 3.30pm the following day so none of the recent big share deals (whether they were buys or sells) were Bronte/Jupiter closing anymore of there positions.

With Bronte we will only be aware of one more declaration because they are not shown under 0.5%

Which is great news that rebound wasn't caused by closing shorts because it means we still have that upward movement to come...........and while they may have called it right coming down I'm not so sure they are getting it right by still sitting on the sidelines as they watch it go up...... we shall see.
