Yeah and as everyday goes by we can see more and more what a shocking CEO AS was...the above alone cost 31.5 million plus interest and 2 years later we will be lucky to get anything North of 20M back.......and whilst I'm on one ...why have we paid SB a years salary when he could have stayed as a consultant for the last 12 months and he would have cost us nothing.....the end

I refer back to my post yesterday....why has he been on the payroll for the last 10 months and been paid around 200k when we could have employed him in his old capacity as a freelance consultant and probably paid him practically nothing.

@Timster Actually CC's comment was "quite busy" .....lets hope that since then he has become extremely busy because if I remember correctly his salary was said to be around 250k and there were questions at the time as to why he had gone from being a self employed consultant to taking a PAYE position.

Having not had a snippet of what he has been doing in the near 10 months up until now I do wonder a bit why rather than putting him on the payroll Avacta couldn't have just engaged his services in a consultant capacity as and when needed......I hope its not yet another poor decision from our esteemed former CEO

Good news that there is clear intention to offload this side of the business but I am still scratching my head as to why Alan thought it was a good idea to buy two loss making companies....other than to stroke his ego while pretending to build a big Pharma

They're not in profit at the moment....I understand what you are saying about capitalising on the situation but if they were to extend their short now it would have to be pushed into the mid 40's just to break even.

You do wonder why GSA wouldn't snap up this opportunity to close out because unless bad news drops out of nowhere I would have thought that this 55-52 range for the SP is about as good as its going to get and its been a bit of a gift for them from the US .......we will see.

And thats a problem for me, he does have a shed load of shares gifted to him regardless of the share price and did little for them........and then we have AS who gave himself a very decent salary for 18 years and 6 million share options without providing anything commercial in return ....if he hadn't been ousted the cohorts would have gone on for years.........he was far too comfortable as was EF

At last a BOD's that behaves like a BOD's of a shareholder owned company...... rather than a BOD's that are overseeing a privately owned science project.

I would say we probably have the answer to the 'shares verses cash' debate.

And yes it maybe early days but if a CEO of a listed Company acts like a CEO of a listed Company (and thats a company Alister that is owned by its shareholders not its CEO) clearly the market picks up on that and sentiment changes.......I'm pretty confident that CC will not be reeling out stuff (at least not publicly) like 'we don't do boosting'.

While there may not have been enough votes to unseat TG I think the sentiment from the shareholders was clear which enabled the new broom philosophy to continue, for me it's imperative that the new CFO is an experienced person from within the Pharma industry.

This my current concern, another 8m dropped into the market at the end of July which unless before that happens we have been given some substantially good news with market sentiment at an all time low it will put serious pressure on the SP and in turn Avacta as a company.....I hope the BOD are busy working on a solution.

I don't want to appear pedantic but what CC actually said was ...he's 'quite' busy ...which I did think at the time was a bit of an odd thing to say because quite busy is generally seen as being less busy than just saying busy and probably more termed as 'okay' but not great ..........I put it down to being an Americanism....much like we say 'not bad' when actually we mean 'very good'.
