So there we are BB - I really can't imagine the heady days of $100/bbl in our investment lifespan again - unless of course a major war in the ME region - and that's a higher probability cf $100 oil in my book. The outcome of the next round of tribal squabbles among Saudi Iran Syria Kurds Turkey .... take your pick - will herald a further round of corruption carve-ups - and off we go again. GKP currently hand over 1Mbbls/month and receive c.$12M/month (late and grudgingly) gross for their efforts. Why on earth would an IOC step in & save us from ourselves if there's only $12/bbl gross in it for them ? If they wanted some of the oil, they would have to buyback (soon from SOMO) at market price. Why would they bother acquiring GKP at these returns ? I'm obviously living a fantasy if I believe in White Knights waiting in the wings to snap us up ?

I guess we still have that �100M debt - could pay this off before the cash at bank becomes too tempting for the BoD not to dream up a follow-on bonus award. A chunk will already have been earmarked for the MP's severance/golden handshake of course. If our hand-plucked team of production experts (who appear to have been doing nought since hired a year ago) procrastinate long enough - the procurement costs of hardware for any expansion will spiral. Can't see much happening here until: Abadi has clawed back the missing Billions (or gets taken out in his attempt), SOMO takes over all sales (then the MNR is irrelevant / should be disbanded), Kurd share of exports has been agreed, we get a 'true' apparaisal of the reservoir, we deserve an answer on the Shk Adi sellout, the BoD come out from under the MNR and start acting like professionals rather than scared puppets, pipeline spurs commissioned....... have I forgotten anything ? Still dreaming that a benevolent IOC will see our potential.

So we currently have Abadi's internal team and soon Putin's Comrades looking deeply into where Kurd funds have squirreled off to. Like taking candy off a baby - take comfort that the BoD must be feeling outmanouvered too, after playing along ..... and now their VCP reward has gone and expired on them. re BB & Hi1970 contributions: I seem to recal lthat the MNR owed GKP c. $300M (+) back in 2016 (plus accumulating interest of course). What sticks in my memory is that a "deal" was done whereby GKP would be entitled to a further 7% (?) of Shaihkan to clear this debt. Was this deal "done" I wonder ? Next point I need a bit of guidance with is: Why would an IOC buy out GKP (to access the fruits of Shaihkan) if all production they achieve is forced to go to market via SOMO under the terms of the PSC - the IOC would purely be an operator ?

No math genius - but Tullow><GKP analogy makes us worth around �13.1 per share. ........ But then againTullow aren't sitting on a deliberately downplayed 13Bbbl reservoir with sub-$5 lifting costs, nor are they awaiting re-imbursement from the Abadi investigation of several hundred �M - trust Our Sammi has kept a tally of the IOUs ? Yup, the so called 'closed period' has worked as a tremendous protective measure from the BoD - imagine if they had been awarded shares for their stellar performance over the past couple of years ! The new VCP and Directors bonuses currently being cooked up may indeed mention shares as rewards if the price recovery looks robust. Think - heads you loose, tails I win. Should the MP have designs on the Top Job in your UK Parliament (and I have a suspicion his ego can see him there) would be a nice gesture if he handed back his salary and bonuses as a GoodWill gesture for doing absolutely NOTHING to benefit this company.
