Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani is a wiley old fox (who speaks the correct language) he appears to be very proactive re monthly payments and field development. But the fact remains: why was the company's asset mysteriously degraded out-of-the-blue (and how will they explain the continuing level of production now into 2918) from this belittled reservoir which was said to be dying by now unless serious investment in downhole equipment was made immediately ? We really need to challenge Jon (face-to-face & off the record if necessary) as to why he publicly destroyed the 2P recovery values of Shaikan field back in 2016. Suspect he was "under orders" from Barz, Haw & co to make Shaikan look less atractive tor Baghdad, and increase the chances of Kurd Independence. Y'know - I'm not sure that the BoD of a Public Company should be open to this type of (assumed) external coersion when they are employed (and legally bound), to work for the benefit of their shareholders ? Maybe the deal will be shares in the takeover company rather than cash - a chunk of DNO or some other well-run outfit may be a godsend ? Or how about GENEL/DNO/GKP merging, and the tail will wag the Kurd dog ? (but I think Abadi has other ideas).

We may well be sold to a more professionally run small producer for a pittance (DNO will have another bite at us, I'm sure ?). Big Oil is not interested in becoming a minor producer for minimal returns with the historical and ongoing crep around this area. They want title to serious volumes of oil and the flexibility to market it themselves. . First clue of serious interest from a bidder will be notification of a new sellup bonus which the BoD will surely deserve and expect. They are WAY too bright to take it in shares.
