Feel a bit for the young Deloitte executives tasked with trying to legitimate the usual goings on around Kurd oil sales and reality. The $4Billion (a paltry 50% evaporation of a country's national income) discrepancy for 2017 takes some explaining withought upsetting those commissioning the smokescreening. Poor Deloitte are between a rock and a big recurring fee.

To be going nowhere:
BoD collecting eyewatering salaries for achieving nothing.

Problem could be that Jon just doesn't know if he should be negotiating the PSC revision with the usual KRG suspects - via their anticipated 'signing fees', or their big bosses in Baghdad.

For gawds don't screw this up and have to pay it twice - once for a fantasy revised PSC to benefit the local team, then again for the Real Thing with Central Government Jon.

Place POs for the required equipment on call-off with a suitable deposit - and at least we'll cut back some of the delivery time and the cash mountain. We do this every day for stuff that costs Serious Money, not this hardware store offshelf stuff.

Serious worry here is that Baghdad CG and the population in general are well aware of our spiralling bank balancies - which is annoying the hell out of them - foreign companies producing THEIR oil and returning huge profits from it (witness recent unrest about oil jobs with the IOCs for the people).
Not out of the question that Baghdad could decide to cut us back by leveying some serious tax on IOC profits - which may even find it's way back to benefitting the general population to defuse things at our expense.

Spend some of the loot kwik to increase production then Jon, and stop attracting attention to our fabulous cash cow.

Whitehat - understand how things are out here: the rulling tribes aren't stupid - they see our profit element of income as money which is rightfully theirs - and as the poo is increasing, our 'theft' becomes more irksome.
They know our running costs down to the last dirham - anything over that is rightfully "theirs" to divvy- up down the tribal pecking order - new palaces, RRs, hareems, expensive habits........ y'know how it goes surely.
Only way out of this is to sell up to Big Oil - ie those who have political and military muscle behind them........ and that's what the savvy shareholders and investment gurus are hanging around here for.

Tanks / Tankers ? I recall a report on here from GKP tanker drivers who were astonished to see colleagues in their convoy from field to Fishkabur being diverted off to a "local private refinery".
The rumoured pipeline connections should eliminate this particular scam in due course. - wonder they have taken years to be approved by the MNR/executed by our BoD ?

I'm profoundly embarassed to admit that I'm just under £800k down as of today, and I'm in this Industry deeply ..... there's always someone worse off than oneself DS !, but I hold a substantial no. of shares now - thanks to grabbing the open offer, and buying-in when the price was grinding along at tuppence.
It'll come OK in the end, as a resource hungry major will snap us up - fyi we used to spend zillions on explo, but now look around for acquisitions - and here's a low hanging fruit indeed. Just let the politics settle a bit, and the markets wake up to our potential.
$1B BIRs and outstanding payments of $370m + their associated compound interests, form a neat financial package.
Think about it: a tiny OC sitting on an elephant of a field, lifting costs which we would give our back teeth for, reducing transport costs , cash and a development plans at the ready to double then double production again, minor debt, climbing POO ...... a dream situation, it just has to be marketted correctly, and that appears to have been started. The aggressive Dutchman is the new driving force.
An IOC bidding war will send this exponential - lets hope the BoD don't get nobbled in the process ;)

Why on earth would the BoD tell us anything about whether we are trucking oil or have linked into the nearby pipeline ? That's none of your business. But here's a clue: The Trucking contractor is a Barzani owned outfit (so best not to mess with that nice little earner).
