Can some of you eggheads calculate what that lot comes to please ? - (or will I need to remove my sox, and get another maths migraine).

A few memories - while I am still lucid enough to recal them:
Kozel’s ludicrous salaries and expenses would only have been approved by the compliant BoD if they had something to gain from it.
The tribals would only have swallowed K’s excesses if they too had benefitted/are benefitting in kind.
Someone, somewhere has either told porkies about what Shaikhan really holds - or they have been paid off for NOT disclosing the true magnificense of it (presumably to lessen Baghdad’s attention in controlling it…. better a dripping long-term roast for the local tribals - than loosing control of it to Baghdad and subsequent full and transparent disclosure and the distribution of the revenues to the benefit of the country).
As with all secrets - the truth will eventually percolate out, and all will be disclosed.
Oh - do we really expect that GKP will be allowed to continue paying out these high dividends to investors ?

Pondering the future of this play and the following points beg answers:
What is the value of any historical debt still owed to us, and overdue interest on same ?
Our production hardware in-field looks to be top quality stuff - have we been reimbursed for procuring and installing and commissioning it into production ?
Appears that the Kurdistan tribals who control us are fighting tooth and nail to avoid coming under Baghdad. Why ?
Who is sitting on us from doing a proper CPR of the entire field (at all geo-stratas) which would give a full overview of what the field really holds and hence the true value of the asset ?
Is it valid to state that the field can never be sold to a large, competent oil company - who would substantially increase production, rigidly enforce monthly payments and recover any outstanding debt - as it would expose the tribals to dealing with a professional management and their legal and financial muscle ?

Any answers will give us a fair picture of whether we dribble along as we are until our production license expire - or attract a buyout at a fair price.

Now’s yer chance to pick us up Big Oil…… if it goes sub £5 - look out for fireworks.

Didn’t quite hit the day’s bottom, but grabbed a chunk at 515 before the highly predictable recovery (which will continue to move up into the mid 500’s again).

Ah, not quite correct - the ‘only customer’ owns the oil (and gas), GKP are only contracted to find and produce the stuff.
I guess any reduction in our fee for producing will find it’s way into private pockets.

Bernard knows what he is doing with excess and socially unacceptable profits one imagines:
Acquisitions
Buybacks
Pay off debt
Invest in cleaner new Technology
Infrastructure
Donations to charities
Sponsorship
Decommissioning inefficient installations….

Agreed Macherman - we are sitting as shareholders of a scarce and appreciating World resource - which has remained stagnant for many years due to the calculated inactions of a few selfish manipulators.
Something has to give.
Once the usual suspects in Erbil have been assured of their personal graveytrains with Baghdad (which I firmly believe are grounded in maintaining and augmenting the wealth of these few individuals - rather then benefiting the general population , or they would have been fixed years ago and the benefits would have been enjoyed by the whole population).
Onwards and upwards then - this can only be fixed by the placement of a few brown envelopes (and of course the correct biscuits - I guess only us longtermers understand that comment).

The local warlords will never agree to this - Unless there is at least one loophole to allow their God-Given right to pilfer (and hence rob their own population of a large swathe of the Region’s hydrocarbon based income).
I will be surprised if this ever becomes law, and profoundly amazed if the law is taken seriously and is not broken at every opportunity.

Talk of BP being taken over by Big Oil:
Well, we were virtually a US company after the GoM tragedy and Bob Dudley’s reign - it will be an easy transition for the fortunate buyer - so bring on the inevitable.
$10 a pop would be quite acceptable ?

Only guessing - but perhaps we have been hoodwinked bigtime to finance a prominent divorce and to make some locals obscenely rich without breaking any sweat.
If serious lies have been told - will there be retributions resulting in porridge being served to the perpetrators for a long, long time ?

C’mon Bernard - make a sizeable donation to Turkey in their time of acute need.
We are awash with cash, SP is rocketting (and even more to come when takeover/ buyout/ amalgamation rumours are soon confirmed).
As you have already decided on our lowly quarterly dividend (don’t you dare splash out on awarding yourself and senior staff eyewatering bonuses).

My instinct is to donate to the Turkish relief fund - but not via GKP coffers - as any monies from there would undoubtedly be diverted into the bulging Swizz accounts of our usual benefactors.

BP is ostensibly seen as a satellite US company post the GoM wipeout and Bo Didley’s reign.
Despite how excellently our Bernard is steering the strategy - we must be an easy target for Big US Oil….. so bring it on (but at the right price).

….. most of my points went missing, so here they are again:
Erbil >< Baghdad being ‘encouraged’ to sort out their tribal squabbles, Big Oilers now have serious money to burn on risky expansions and wildcat investments, Geopols polarising to form Western influenced buffers around the mad RasPutin, China coming out of lockdown and looking to expand energy sourcing, PoO vectoring upwards, sanctions on Russian energy sales will surely tighten to strangle their ability to finance a protracted war…… Maybe - just Maybe we are being looked over as a potential buyout or merger candidate ?
Could be an interesting year for GKP - I’m hanging on in until it pans out.
