Pigs seem to be swarming again for their well earned slurp at the slops bin. Maybe a deal is indeed on the horizon (or just another mirage ?).
Huge pressures being applied at the dealing dens to push this down under 2 quid - Barrington, Henrietta, Nigel, Rupert ….. et al will be in fear of loosing bonuses if this breaks out before signatures and grubby brown envelopes are swapped.

Concur with that N74…… especially not repayments from guilt-edged companies like our BP - who are on an upwards and onwards mission.

I remember the procrastinations about which pumps to buy and where to immerse them going on about 5 yrs ago …… even asked one of our junior drilling engineers if she could spec them to help out our ostensibly out-of-their-depth millionaire BoD.
JF and Sami both collected eyewatering termination bonuses and are golfing on fat pensions and basking in their sun drenched villas - but of course they didn’t ever get round to settling the pumps conundrum before retiring.
There has to be sufficient material for a best selling fictional book and a Carry-On film around the level and layers of incompetence surfacing around GKP……. Maybe even a Who-dun-it thriller on International Pilferring and How-to-get-Rich-Kwik without doing porridge.

Yeh - but think of the private deals being done behind the scenes by our masters capitalising on the discrepancies of PoO vs SP ;)

I have seen buybacks come and go over the years - to no avail normally.
Much wiser to pay off some of our horrendous debt or go on an acquisition spree with the cash that has been apparently led to zero tangible effect on our SP or balance sheet.

As we appear to be in stalemate with our masters regarding progress and approvals as usual- maybe best to just slip them a few brown envelopes and award our BoD with further bonuses •••••••• ANYTHING to break this interminable flatlined little company’s lack of progress.

Wow - so even an Iraqi minister of brown envelopes says that triple digit PoO is pending - and of course our invisible management still can’t get an FDP approved. Have they even managed to draft and submit it yet ?
Time to call in some serious oil industry technical muscle, set up an even larger in-country (swizzerland) slush fund and at least be seen to be TRYING do something meaningful to justify superstar salaries and bonuses.
Oh and meanwhile our SP is doing its usual lead zeppelin response, of course.
