Longtermers will recall WHY these ridiculous and unwarranted get-rich-kwik bonuses popped up 10 yrs ago - the BoD at that time were persuaded as part of the package to agreeing to sell us out to the bond holders- just why their progeny have now inherited divine rights to these annual golden geese - remains a mystery to me.
Let’s take a closer look:
1) The staff retention self - award …… irrelevant, those who gladly voted to be retained have now all left GKP (as millionaires).
2) Bonus award…… the previous BoD promised a seemingly illusive step up from 50k bbls/d years ago ……. and even their successors have not as yet achieved it.
3) Why punish our working capital month after month by doggedly buying back shares - to later issue a plethora of new shares to self award schemes ?
This is a travesty of trust and an open, brazen and totally unjustifiable rape of shareholders’ funds held in an already struggling UK registered public company with a depressing commercial history - based on personally convenient, but now irrelevant to the situation of the comapany, self- awarding articles.
How can we have this unpalatable annual haemorrhage removed - and replaced by a direct performance related, fair, transparent system - which I’m sure will be acceptable to the shareholders of the company ?
