Surely the ICG have authority over defense and arming of all Iraq ?

ICG Defense Minister should have been there to conduct affairs instead of a Billionaire tribal warlord.

Add to this the recent formation of the Family’s private Oil Production and Oil Marketting Companies …… and what can we conclude ?

Seems like they are gearing up for another attempt to break away from Iraq and launch their own state ( they could call it ‘BARZANISTAN’ ?).

The horrendously rich familly get richer - (at the expense of the poor population and of course us !).

Question is - have ICG got the cahunas to stamp on them ?

A balanced summary there Rog , but as I recently suggested - paramount is securing a legal contract with ICG, oil flowing again and distancing ourselves from the predatory Billionaire Kurdistan warlords (and their fantasy plots to take us over and market their oil via an export deal with Erdogan) - risk would be greatly reduced then, and I would suggest that 75p is a decimate of what we would be worth to a Major.

Time will soon tell - and our vapourized BoD better roll up their suntanned sleeves, get our ducks in a row (and not be brow-beaten into accepting a pepper corn takeover price - no matter how incentivised they may be).

Salaries and any bonuses should have been rigidly locked-on to performance.

Only stress they have is laying low, accepting being jerked around without responding on our behalfs ….. thereby keeping out of MB’s focus of wrath.

How about being seen to be buying some shares in ‘lil-old’ GKP you guys ? - just to show a positive vector of belief in how you are growing the company’s potential (or would that be too risky with your own cash - in your knowledge of what’s really going on ??).

Not paranoia, not shorting - the source of MB’s fabulous wealth at a conservative $55Billion is the result of how he controls the region’s assets and the way he abuses the little oilers and their contracts/payments….. and note that he is one of a hierarchy of familly and those in power within Kurdistan.

The population must feel cheated, I know we have been.

MB’s strategic plan has always been starve out GKP (and these other pesky little oil minnows) from his country for loose change.

What irks me on occasion - is how the Kurdistan ‘rulers’ have the brass necked gal to NOT pay us according to their own contract, and impose - at will- delayed, “forgotten” and reduced payment conditions - when everyone knows by now that they are receiving their own contributions and free-will donations up-front ?

They obviously have no respect or conscience for us, or their own population and, due to the fear and ineptitude of the management of the small IOCs operating in the region under illegal contracts, have learned to play this game of deceit and creaming with scot-free impunity.

OK , but surely Baghdad knows what has been going on and can’t condone it on an International stage - especially when they are trying to attract large and serious companies and investments into the country to develop a viable energy business for the benefit of the wider Iraqi population..

Maybe, Just maybe a day of exposure and reckoning will dawn in the not too distant future ?

It just takes a serious media investigation team and wide publicity of their subsequent findings.

Obviously KRG have been paid up front for our deliveries (I think they have recently been pain in advance too).

A simple question needs to be asked:

? where has the money gone after it was credited by the buyers into the KRG’s bank account ?

From my memory:

Rules were quite dicktatorial - all trucks had to be hired through one prominent local familly (gezwho ?), it was not uncommon for sections of the convoy to be seperated out and set off on a different route.

A convoy driver reported that they had to drive «to a private refinery» when daring to ask «why».

Whatever….. let’s wait until the new excuses erupt from Monday’s biscuit meeting ;))

Unfortunately, it is “currently being updated” - which I find a bit ominous……. but lets be optimistic and assume Baghdad is doing right by us charity oilys !

I’m becoming optimistic on this gamble now (is that a known symptom of heatstroke ?).

Safety in numbers indeed - the sooner we get our license to operate granted/re-issued by Baghdad - the sooner we are much, much safer.

They can’t remove us all (but the Kurd rullers may have other plans).

I can’t see any other logical reason for this protracted pain - and I’m not afraid to brainstorm/speculate.

I would encourage others to have a go at explaining things too - as hopefully I tend to look for the worst/most devious in each situation (and it appears to be about right in most cases - I have worked in the region and have been a serious investor here for 11yrs. ….so I guess I have a bit of experience - but eternally hope that I’m wrong, of course.

Hope our well rewarded BoD have several strategies ready to slot in to limit belly-up damages..
