I guess the exploited civilians know damned well which of their billionaire warlord/tribal liars have enriched themselves at the expense of tribal bullies yet again.

I think the oilies operating in Turdistan have formed some sort of alliance, so if all agree to swallow their fears and make a united stand - what can they loose (a clutch of now worthless and illegal PSCs and maybe waking up with a severed camel’s in head in bed) ?

These invisible persons are collecting eyewatering salaries and self imposed bonuses for absentee management of a small, inefectual company which seems alergic to the concept of growth - tottering along with neither diversification nor a legal license to operate.

They had nothing to fear - but fear itself - for shutting in production each time their illegal sole customer held back or imposed random excuses for default or under payment (an appeal to Baghdad would have called the bluff of the local bullies pdq…), but NO - better to stay quiet and not act for the benefit of their shareholders by doing anything/something to make a stand.

Their fabulous salary and bonus schemes would continue to flow nonetheless - after all, they had voted themselves to receive at their presumably well attended remuneration meetings.

Hallo, If anyone is there ? Send a detailed bill for all outstanding payments plus interests due to SOMO, and call a meeting to establish a legal PSC and let’s get our show on the road.

Dress them up in Armani suits and garnish with flags ‘n flowers ….. and the population think important decisions are being debated to better their miserable lives ( but we know that pilferring for personal wealths and how next to screw us infidel oilies and avoid paying these pesky outstanding bills - are the basis of all discussions ) !

The delay problem with the budget is that the warlords can’t get at it as it gets paid to state employees directly and not via their preferred private accounts for later distribution to the population.

I feel for them profoundly as Baghdad is a much tougher nut to deal with than the limp wristed management of us foreign oilies.

Would have required ICG approval to build it (as exporting Barz’s oil was illegal from day 1.

Better to get Erdo involved and pay him a slice to use his pipeline (and that was a dripping roast for over 10yrs.), then finance his fee by defaulting on payments to the infidel oilies.

A win-win for the tribals.

Obviously this game is being played for ‘the greater good’ by the billionaire warlords who have jerked us around so skillfully over the past years:

Just keep the pipeline closed until the foreign oilers are starved into extinction - then we can take over and extract and market our birthright oil (the worker bee population will be paid just enough to keep them quiet and subservient).

Y’know it is only of academic interest what the oil we hand over is sold at - the trick would be to set up a monthly deliverble schedule and have whoever trousers the regions oil sales pays us up front against that lookahead monthly schedule, or we shut down current production until the lookahead payment is in our bank.
