I was just trying to get a rough idea of what percentage of total installations in India Cyan were involved with. It appears to be about 5%-7% (200K of 3M) by the end of 2020.

We have been led to believe that there will be approximately 400K Cyan units out there by the end of March.

I was referring to this:-

Levi Ostling, smart metering analyst at Berg Insight, said: “Ambitious targets to roll out some 250 million smart meters within just a few years’ time has so far failed to materialise, with the installed base of such devices merely doubling over the past two years to reach a modest 3 million units at the end of 2020.”

According to LTI's link, there have been 3M units installed in India up to the end of 2020.

If anyone should be congratulated for creating the opportunity to make a few bob on an out and out punt, it's JC. He guided the SP down by 98% from 80p to 1.5p.

He's still overseeing a 90% decline in SP - not great.

On 14/01/2021, JC said that Cyan had received cash of £3.3M in the first 9.5 months of the accounting year and that 167,000 modules had been shipped to customers during the 3 months to 31/12/2020.

On 14/01/2021, he also said that "CyanConnode is now delivering higher volumes of modules than at any point during the Company's history and we expect increased demand for deliveries during the remainder of this financial year", which implies that shareholders can expect the number of modules shipped between 01/01/2021 and 31/03/2021 to be greater than 167,000.

I have a feeling that the market is going to be pleasantly surprised when the shipment numbers for the final are reported (at least that's what I'm counting on). On this occasion, I am going to take JC at his word (after all, they are his words).

Where's Chari when you need her/him to prop up the price?

Actually, hoping it continues down for a bit longer so that I get more bang for my buck when this month's cash lands in my SIPP and I can use it.

Why is Cyan never covered by any of the publications that retail investors read e.g. Chronic Investor, Shares Magazine, Money Week etc.

At the end of the day how many people will actually read Arden's note or watch M Radia's video. I'm sure that the guru is a decent guy but so what. In the brief bit that I watched, I noticed that he had to keep taking a sneaky look at his notes to remind himself of what Cyan does. Not a great endorsement.

If this report was written by the head of research, I dread to think how bad it could have been.

IMO, people should ignore the report completely because it's not worth the paper that its written on. It says as much itself. If they can't be bothered to get the information right, why should I bother to read it.

It's a poor show that the BoD were happy to let it go out. As a shareholder, that's what I find most disturbing. Don't they care?

I agree.

My point is that the report says "year to December", which is a bit sh*te. You, I and others know where he's got the figures from and what periods are what but new potential investors should have it pointed out clearly to them. Yes it's a bit more work but it's better than coming across as slapdash.

I have been encouraged by the improvement made during Heather's time as CFO but I am disappointed that this has been allowed to go out without being double-checked and its release shouldn't have been RNS'd IMO.

Wherever you look in the report, you are left with more questions than answers. I hope that they didn't pay a lot for it.

Why is he using December as the Y/E, when the company's Y/E is March.

Is the 'actual' revenue for 2020 £2.5M (page 16)? The 15 months to March 2020 had revenue of £2.5M - is that what he is referring to?

Is the £5.8M 'estimated' revenue figure for 2021 for the the 12 months to December 2021 or the 12 months to March 2021?

If he actually means to March 2021, they are anticipating revenue of £2.4M for the final quarter (Jan-Mar'21).

Am I missing something? Sorry if I am - it's early.

Is the 'Free Float' figure (i.e. 74.1%) under 'Key Data' correct? It seems to be ignoring S Chari's 6.44%.

I think that the 'Free Float' figure should be 68% but I could be wrong.

Could do with a bit more blue on the board. It'll arrive in due course I guess.

That statement is pretty bullish - there's quite a difference between 'hope' (maybe used in its place in the past) and 'expect'.

Only 47 days until the financial year ends, so hope they're cracking on.

Another smart meter company dominated by boyos. Safe as houses; they had a whopping £30K in the bank as at 30/04/2020. DYOR (or not).
