There's always money out there to be had because there's more money than sense. Potential shareholders just need to be sold a good story and Cyan had/has one.
I don't think that JC & HP are overpaid. They've made me quite a few bob (on paper), which is good enough for me.

Never in a million years.
To be honest, I have my own thoughts on the SP (i.e. I haven't been relying on anything that you've said about it).
Obviously, JC hasn't been creating this company for £170K pa for the last few years and why should he. The way I see it, these options are designed to be a sort of back pay for work done already, not to incentivise (and more tax efficient to boot).
You're already in the black - what is there to moan about?

IMO, as a multimillionaire JC isn't interested in making £110K on his first 33%. I was just using 20p as an example (which I would be chuffed with).
At £200K pa, shareholders shouldn't claim that JC is still overpaid (I did complain when he paid himself £500K pa years ago), his salary is now 'modest'.
They (JC & HP) are doing the work and hopefully creating something of value. Shareholders do eff all effort wise, apart from stump up a bit of cash that they can afford to lose.

It's about timing. There's something different going on here now. Previous options were meaningless (IMO) because they were never going to get triggered. You either believe that these 14.5p ones will be or they won't be.

To give people an idea of what can happen within a couple of years, take a peek at Mulberry's graph between March 2010 and the summer of 2012.

"Mulberry Group plc today granted deferred ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company under Mulberry's Deferred Bonus Plan at a price of 194 pence per Ordinary Share. These grants relate to bonus payments awarded to the Directors and key employees in respect of the Company's performance for the financial year ending 31st March 2010. The deferred Ordinary Shares, which are held within the Mulberry Group plc Employee Benefit Trust, will vest on 30th June 2012."

To be fair, what good is a 50p strike price to JC .

He is 66 years old and and the SP won't be hitting 50p+ anytime soon. It would need to be a fair bit higher than that for him to be bothered to exercise his options.

If they could get the SP to 20p+ soon'ish, so that they can exercise their first 33% of options, I'd be pretty chuffed.

What's there to complain about?

Down to the average of the II's recent buying (9.5p to 13.5p).

Think I'll wait until I see a bit more blue before making this month's buy.

I'll be buying more tomorrow (hopefully), if my monthly SIPP contribution clears in time and will continue to do so until the good news that is going to come (IMO) lands. It does feel like something substantial is brewing to me and, to be honest, I'm surprised that there isn't more interest in this company. It does go very quiet trade-wise.

I doubt that we'll have a TU for the Q/E 30/06/2021, as there's no requirement for the company to release one.

My guess is that we'll have to wait until October for the TU for the 6 months to 30/09/2021 but who knows.

I'm hoping that the $250M (?) of funding that's in place for this smart meter project is time-limited (i.e, use it or lose it) and that we might see some serious movement in the right direction in due course.

Sorry, I still don't see the significance.

S Chari notified the market that she/he held 6.44% of the shares in the company on 03/02/2021 (based on 187M shares) and now holds 6.1% of the company (based on 220M shares).

I don't know what's to be read into today's RNS, other than she/he is happy to invest another £170-£180K, which is fine by me.

I agree with your comments re raising funds quickly - a good bit of business. It's now time to crack on and nail some of the opportunities that are out there.

£30M market cap.

There's a big gap to gradually make up between here and JC's £200M valuation statement from years back. Halve it to allow for a bit of exaggeration and that's still 45p per share.

10.81p to sell with A J Bell.
