It was a very risky play but I'm extremely happy with the way it's panning out (so far). I feel that it's a fair reward for all the time that I've spent researching and scrutinising what's been going on, I'm sure that you must feel the same.

Oh, I forgot to say, I'm really glad that I piled in in late May, it's left me with quite a safety net.

It's nothing to do with pessimism, it's to do with fact.

Don't worry, I am holding plenty of shares, well in the black and not here for dividends. I am here for capital growth and have in fact added more this week, as I said I would on Monday.

We all have our own investment strategies and I'm comfortable with mine and honestly don't care about yours or anyone else's. Let's leave it there shall we?

Until Cyan turns its retained losses (£65M) into retained profits by making sufficient profits to cover those losses, they have no control over their policy and can't pay dividends.

Obviously, they are not going to be able to change the policy anytime soon.

Thanks but I knew that already. Talk about stating the bleedin-obvious, dividends won't be paid for a long, long time, if ever. This co will be bought out way before there will be any need to review that policy IMO.

My guess is that people like S Chari are not holding a £1M investment here thinking that its going to turn into £33M (£3 SP) or that they're going to receive a dividend, they are expecting an exit/buyout giving them a x4 or x5 return (valuing Cyan at £50M - £75M).

Look at the ages of the people involved here. They won't want to be doing what they're doing forever, they'll want to cash in their chips soon'ish, if they've got any sense.

There's a 50%/50% chance of that being right.

ATM, she doesn't seem to want to pay more that 9p. That would be quite a leap i.e. 9p to £3.

Nearly 40% tied up with the majors and directors now.

If I was a betting man, I'd wager that there won't be an update on Monday 08/02/2021.

It's got nothing to do with the share premium account.

This company will not be paying a dividend in our lifetime, just accept it. I'm sure HP will confirm it to you, if you ask her.

I'm not saying that you can't make money by investing in this company, you just won't be receiving dividends. In fact, I might be buying some more myself tomorrow, if the funds clear in my SIPP by then.

There's nothing misleading about what I'm saying.

This company will not be paying dividends for a long, long time. Do you not understand how to read a set of accounts?

People need to understand why they might invest in a company like Cyan. If they are looking for an investment that might pay them a dividend, they are looking in the wrong place.

This is a buyout play or a share buyback play.

Dividends won't be happening in our lifetime.

Not until they've got some retained earnings. They've got £65M of losses to put right before they can start accumulating earnings.
