Would agree regards Finland, but it doesn't owe us much, unlike Oman, as CM details. It strikes me as fair comment to say that frustration with the lack of progress with the waiting time in Oman has allowed for other projects to develop more rapidly. It has been fortunate that the asset itself has such promise and the timing itself was spot on, it was only a couple of days after completion that EVs were boosted by the announcement of future European bans. We know that Moz is developing in the background. Finally we have some movement in Oman though there are still some regulatory hoops before Amber changes to green. The three projects form the package but The most immediate incoming info is likely to be the Portuguese scoping study, hence the focus. Copper can get its attention when real progress can be made (soon hopefully) and Moz will get its attention in its turn.

Once again, pretty even on the buys and sells, but at a reduced level from yesterday. No great downward pressure with larger 250k sells popping up. Almost as if it is regulated depending on demand at the time. If only Mrs Mitty was so well trained with the whiskey. With Ramadan starting Later this week, whilst not everything shuts down completely, I do wonder if this cork will pop before mid June. Can but hope but at least there is Portugal to look forward to before then.

DA has also intimated that there are plenty of deep pockets in Oman. Now, if you had pointed towards Portugal..... Once again pure speculation, but offtake agreement and margin could minimise any dilution.

Other than taking the old plans from the top shelf and giving them a dusting down, as you say, pretty sure that there will be minimal delay once licence issued. Going back into the haze, seem to remember we were advised that there would be more details of the resource and financials and I am pretty sure this was due to come prior to the licence. No doubt they will be making (or confirming) a final decision as to the ingredients of that financial mix in the light of a stronger copper market over the coming days. Hopefully they will inform the market at their earliest.

Buys and sells pretty evenly matched today.

Couple of weeks ago we had the Moz news, making sure the market understood that the Moz mining application was not due n June as had been expected, but possibly later in the year. This cleared negative comment which was followed by the positive update from Portugal. Now we have had pretty positive news from Oman with the ministry of bivouacs confirming there will be no building in them thar hills, now with only the final go ahead from PAM. This clears possible negative comment on the next update from Portugal in a very timely way, so this could be very useful in the build up to the expected upgrade to the existing Jorc and scoping study due in the next couple of weeks. With possible leaks bunged up, maybe the level will be able to rise.

Aimtd, as it stands, we don't know what the size of the project is, for these two initial mines or the planned series. The economics by inference has always been expected to be good. There may be more reaction when these are finally laid bare(ish).

Well, there is still the actual licence to come. Oh, and the details on the resource and financials in Oman. Oh, and the resource upgrade to come in Portugal, oh, and the scoping study over the next few weeks etc etc. Personally I struggle to see that Beaufort is an overhanging issue of any size if at all. Ultimately this will squeeze based on the tsunami of news in good markets.

This is always the bit that I like. "the first two of a planned series of high-grade copper mine developments in Oman" It's hardly been worthwhile looking beyond, other than simply keeping the pot simmering, whilst Oman has been sorting themselves out. If things are now slotting into place, hopefully the planned series will show itself.

So, now that all the immediate boxes are ticked, how long before PAMs final confirmation? I have 3 weeks in mind as their stated target. Does anyone know rather than having to rely on an unreliable memory.

Maybe Alara has shareholders who are wondering why everything is taking so long and they are pointing out that they are in the same boat as a number of other companies that are all waiting. Rather than making anonymous assertions, Alara refreshingly names names, pointing shareholders directly to the fellow travellers, enabling shareholders to easily check the facts. That would be my simple read.
