Riz29 - when condorman was warning us about 'delisting and leaving shareholders high and dry' do you think he realised how 'high' that is in relation to current SP - certainly shed loads of headroom for new investors so can't see it being a buying impediment at all! Our main investors also have bought plenty at much higher prices so are unlikely to want to sell out at a give-away price, having been this patient!

Example - you posted garbage on Convertible Loan - why risk 7 years as a non investor!!!

A hypothetical MC of $400m amounts to around 60p per share - no wonder shareholders are keen for this to be out of mothballs!

Over 100 posts since shujja's post of 20/03/16 you decide to intervene not sure why as you claim not to be invested and have mentioned it's not one for you, more than once! I then decided to try and help with your lack of knowledge by spelling it out for you and pointing you in the direction of some minimal research but - and this is where the hole digging comes in - you then populated this board with dire warnings on a Convertible Loan that was HISTORY (don't let the truth get in the way of a good story!). People interested can read the rest of your posts and draw their own conclusions about your analytical skills. DYOR is often quoted on these boards and i recommend it - i've done plenty of nappy changing in my time but i don't expect others to spoon feed me the latest market info - when they do i check veracity and resist the urge to blunder around like a bull in a china shop before i have done due dilligence! Just_My_Opinions - Danny Fortson of the Sunday Times was responsible for the article about Mr Asfari's 10% shareholding and you on 26/03/16, for reasons of your own, chose to publically doubt it, calling for tangible evidence to satisfy you. You have now drawn our attention to a buzzfeed article but,strangely, you have not asked for tangible evidence of the truth of the article - not sure why - don't you doubt all media articles are do you have a selective bias? Assuming you stand by the article do you think Mr Asfari will be tucking any of his refund, if it materialises, in here to bolster his GPX holding? BTW i awarded a green thumb yesterday for well considered posting - i'm afraid you've got a bit to do before you meet his standard - perhaps i'm being harsh - i leave others to make up their own minds by reading your posts from 22/03/16 - never let the facts get in the way of a good story!!! I thought you had concluded this wasn't an investment for you but you seem strangely drawn to GPX - it's certainly an intriguing proposition!

BTW - i've followed this for years and historically i've been in noisier graveyards! There are occasional attempts to generate interest but it's a sensitive area and some posters, understandably, find it difficult to be dispassionate.

lejjb - have reviewed your posts and am happy to award you the ancient order of the green thumb for your considered approach to the situation - if this works out everyone will say it was so obvious why didn't you put more in but it's far from a one way bet - the main shareholders have far more knowledge than me - i back their confidence, which they have endorsed with cash and i can see scenarios where this could do spectacularly well.

Because those that understand the risks and rewards don't need to convince others to come on board. If this works out for the company the potential SP rise is phenomenal but investors need to work out the political/ security aspects for themselves and be comfortable with the risk - beware I've seen lots of posts here from posters who have failed miserably with research - are unaware of the geographical situation of the wells and the political/ military in that area. Sanctions are current - will they continue ? - are there alternative ownership scenarios? The company is largely owned by a small group with a lot to lose and much to gain - they will dictate the future direction of the company.

Offshore - I traded these at the £2 - £3 level but extricated myself before the sanctions buying back modestly at more recent levels so I am keen for confidence to return. This Bb was like a graveyard for so long because there are many aspects to this share that it is not in shareholders interests to shout from the rooftops - Atb!

Just_My - still don't know why you're bothering with this share but I think you may have now realised that the main players here have just stumped up shed loads of cash to keep the company trading as a going concern mainly to enable them to exercise some control of the Syrian assets and other ventures. If more cash is needed in the future and shareholders believe the potential reward exceeds the risk they will probably come up with funds. I don't know how this will unfold but it is certainly not a dull ride - there are many options for GPX and I'm confident the main players are well aware of them and will endeavour to maximise value for shareholders. I also believe ( based on following the company ) that they are managing the security situation well but this is a sensitive area and every one can make their own judgement on that - those who want to see the positives will satisfy themselves on security by reviewing past media releases and consider the geography and the disposition of factions in that area.

Just_My_Opinions - never let facts get in the way of a good story - i've directed you twice to conduct a little research but your responses make me genuinely concerned for your ability to analyse at quite a basic level. Have you thought about having your money managed by experts - perhaps consult the Government Money Advice site. Your last post, to me, was largely about Convertible loan facilities - why???? I directed you to consider the last years accounts - For F/Y/E 31/12/2015 Accounts - ' In 2014 the Group entered into a $20 million Facility Agreement with Arawak Energy Bermuda Ltd as a means of securing working capital. In June 2015 the F A was acquired by Waterford Finance & investment Ltd & Mr Richard Griffiths who together continued to provide working capital for the Group through to Jan 2016 when the outstanding loan with interest totalling $14.5 million was repaid was repaid, OUT OF THE PROCEEDS OF THE OPEN OFFER ' The Open Offer was detailed in rns dated 27/08/2015 - purpose to repay the Convertible Loan Facility. As i said before i'm not giving you any encouragement to buy or sell this - you don't appear to see much worthwhile here why bother at all - i'm sure your analytical powers would be better appreciated elsewhere!

JustMy - noticed you didn't deal with the points I raised - just for the record I don't care if you buy or sell just replied to your post because it was there when I looked in and it caught my eye as being particularly poorly researched. You compounded it by your post of13:29 because if you had bothered to read the accounts, as I suggested, you would see who has bank rolled the company. Sometimes people can't be helped but I wish you good luck with your investments!

JustMy - how about raising your level of debate on here - Danny Fortson stands behind his article and if it is not true as a long standing paying reader I will ask questions about his long term future at the paper. What is your evidence to doubt the article and what would you have to lose if you are wrong? I hesitate to mention research to you but if you read last accounts you will see that oil managed to find it's way out of the wells during the period of unrest before the 'peace talks'!

quindell - i'm still unsure why you believe this share needs to be de-listed. I believe ' most would acknowledge ' that the military situation has altered significantly in 2015.

Nicki - this share has been held by esoteric investors for many years - I assume they are content to await developments.
