Just_ My _ Opinions - I take great pride in my dressing up skills so I'm impressed when you see something I've done without me consciously thinking about it! I believe for every valid reason you might highlight where you see danger in this investment I could cite 5 more you haven't mentioned so I think we're agreed its high risk high reward but the fact that some private investors didn't take up their opportunity in the open offer is largely irrelevant as PI are a minority here and know their destiny is in the hands of the big boys - if they don't know it by now they have buried their heads in the gulf sands haha! There is, however huge upside potential here and things could change pretty much overnight so I'm staying with it because I like the risk/ reward scenario - It's my free choice!

Just_ My_Opinions - Perhaps if I paint you a picture you might find this share more readily understandable. Let's say I own a brilliant business in London selling a product wanted by most of the world which was worth £500,000 but due to Government action I had to cease trading for a period that turned into years. After 4 years someone approaches me saying you've still got ongoing costs and you're not earning from it why not sell it to me for £50,000! I can accept or I might politely decline thanking them for the opportunity to relieve my costs saying I've got other money outside the business which I'm using to support it so I'm going to carry on particularly as meetings are taking place at a high level to try and resolve the major issue which originally precipitated my business issue and if they are successful I have the potential to profit from the full value of the assets! The penultimate paragraph of your post of 9:04 Today raises an interesting question which you followed with 'Why would they?' - I would point you to the rns dated 13/01/2016 - I think most people would think that's recently - and ask you WHY DID THEY - ( Waterford and Blake subscribed for more shares pursuant to the Underwriting than acceptances from Qualifying Shareholders! ) - apologies for not being able to alter the facts!!!

Just_My_Opinions - BTW in your penultimate paragraph you referred to ' or even another diluting convertible loan facility ' - the last time I bothered to exchange posts with you I remember thinking you were the most ill informed individual I had ever dealt with as you even failed to comprehend information that I directed you to in the rns! I see nothing has changed since so just for amusement how about you explaining how much, if any, dilution arose from our deal with Arawak Energy Bermuda Ltd - I'll give you a clue - holders of a convertible don't usually convert at a strike price of more than 10 times the current SP - back to kindergarten for you!

Just_my_opinions - what's not likely is that the majority shareholders who recently subscribed £14.2 million will choose not to continue supporting the company should more cash be needed in the future - the recent fund raise was an open offer so ALL shareholders could participate thereby facilitating preservation of % holding - a very fair arrangement IMO. I'm not advising anyone what will happen in the future as I have no advanced knowledge so everyone DYOR my opinion of what's likely is simply an opinion based on common sense - clearly everyone invested here knows that they need to continue holding should they wish to have any chance of realising the full potential of the underlying assets which become more valuable with recent significant increases in POO.

lejjb- the great thing about these boards is that people can express themselves with a lot of latitude - if everyone followed my personal view life would be tedious and there would be nothing to talk about!

lejjb- we all probably have our own ideas on what might be best for Syria and for GPX - I believe the management know what's best and our Russian major shareholder has made the political intervention regarding oil for food sanction relief which was certainly worth a try as it was used elsewhere. I try to avoid any direct political comment as many people hold very strong views on Syria and have, historically, strongly expressed those views on here whenever anything politically sensitive is mentioned - explains why it's sometimes quiet here!

Shivs - IMO our majority shareholders are calling the shots here and I'm happy to be hanging on their coat tails as I believe their interests happen to align with mine now. I say 'now ' because the previous management made some poor decisions to try and diversify which cost us money we couldn't afford to lose - largely sorted by the majority S/H pumping lots of extra cash in recently.

Baysil - glad you liked it! Have a few left in here from Paraguay eldorado drilling expectations so look in from time to time - glad we persisted with Argentina at those oil prices - keeping things ticking over!
