Northy - I've only recently changed the bag on my vacuum so there's a bit to go yet !
It's normal practice to release key elements of information in association with the Nomad and most people are aware of this ( it also adds to the excitement!). We have been given a steer that production information will be available in June, so between 4 & 8 weeks to wait, but I'm only basing that on the recent videos.
I'm not convinced that earlier release of production information would be beneficial for AAU shareholders because any information will be used by investors to make a judgement on buying or selling and early release of, for example, relatively poor figures, is likely to be negative for the company even if it is qualified to the nth degree about, poor grade ore being deliberately run first, teething problems with machinery, lower than normal working hours, etc - although De Villiers teased us that there was no cause for concern in his presentation!
If you don't like the ' withholding ' going on here I'm thinking AIM may not be the right place for you as my experience is that it's the norm and it helps most experienced investors as they know when key info is likely to be released.
I may be completely wrong to have drawn any conclusion from the fact that's De Villiers bothered to mention that the debt for the mine was on the JV balance sheet not AAU during his presentation- could that have been a hint that AAU may be borrowing for future funding if they have cash flow to support it - the joys of speculation Northy!!!
