LayLadyLay - I've already accepted in my comment to LGO-fan that Leo appeared to have decided that Spain would not feature but i would suggest that Leo had not properly considered all the info at that time as you will recall that he didn't grasp the significance of my question about deep drilling on Cedros and didn't appear to know we were committed to the BOLT purchase ( which you and I have debated at length on here ) - I subsequently raised the issue with NEDs and the day after we had Leo's gushing endorsement of it in the video. I was quite restrained in my comments to Leo because he had limited time to consider LGO situation at the webcast and it wasn't my party - as long as he is properly briefed I'm sure he will come up with the right decisions on LGO assets without my help - he has a proven record and existing LGO management to advise him - if he gets really desperate and spurns my advice I'll mention your name as back up !

LGO-fan - hear what you say and that focus would have been a reasonable deduction from the meeting as even Neil played it down - all I'm saying is extrification needs to be done thoughtfully and I'm going to be asking questions about it in due course.

Goup - Neil told me The Burgos oil museum already includes a picture of him and that fully satisfied me - I won't be giving you encouragement to go further! It would not surprise me greatly if, after full examination, Leo doesn't start getting interested in Spain as if no one bids for the concession it's a definite further loss for us, minimally, of over $300000 plus possible extra costs of decommissioning - quite a gamble to ignore and would be something he will need to debate with the front row if that is the plan.

MRPlumper - This company was almost bankrupt - NR was able to persuade people to support LGO financially when detractors ( some of whom claimed to be shareholders ) wanted it to fold - I'm not saying he was the only one who could have done it but he did it on suspended pay which was a help at the time and he knows more about the company than most on here. I have money invested here so am happy to see people posting their ideas on development and I'm happy to support the new man as he has a history of business success that Is in a different league to NR which I believe will help the company to grow. I'm also pleased NR is still around to be referred to as there is detail that needs to be properly addressed for the company to achieve a smooth transition and maximise value from all areas. As for characterising Neil as ' a jolly good fella ' you clearly haven't understood my posts - he was reckless with the borrowing for drilling campaign of the C Sands as there needed to be a deeper realisation of the consequences of failure and we should have withdrawn much earlier to protect shareholder value - by the time we got to the stuck drill issue we were in shyte or bust territory and NR was playing 10 up front to try and get the equaliser !

MRPlumper - re SOLO IMO decisive action occurred because an influential large investor, who was previously, generally supportive of the company on the bb as well as outside was able to organise the opposition to achieve the objective - bit different to multiple posting of negative points designed to undermine confidence in the company over eons!

Ross - for the avoidance of doubt I want to thank all those people who were instrumental in bringing about the change of management here, which involved the company broker, large shareholders and the NEDs - that certainly doesn't include you as a multi posting keyboard warrior who couldn't be bothered to face up to NR when opportunities presented. Let's not forget the many crackpot ideas you argued for on this board - including keeping BNP loan and having regular Placings to service it - shorter's dream ticket! At the moment you are telling us you are prepared to wait for the new plan but I sense you don't have the patience of real investors - time will tell Ross!

My English teacher would probably have bet her house I would never quote Shakespeare out of school but as it's gone for the nursing home I can do it now ! Great presentation from Dr Krishna Persad - I'm glad he is the one getting more than $1 million from us for BOLT ( even though Leo thought it sounded ' a lot ' when I asked him about it on the webcast! ) . Krishna is a polished performer and I was impressed he managed to place that Shakespeare quote from Julius Ceasar in a water flood/EOR presentation:- ' There is a tide in the affairs of men , Which taken at the flood, leads on to a fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and miseries On such a full sea are we now afloat, And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.' I hope the issue is given the consideration it deserves.

Garnheim - glad to see you are not getting carried away with tosh from toss - the LGO business needs careful handling to avoid expensive transitional errors hence NR staying and assisting - they don't have to take his advice but they need to receive it and make their own judgement about it - some things are shades of grey in the real world!

Garnheim - must say I did find that first slide provocative but I didn't think it was worth having a debate with him on the day about Continental line drawing - I'm assuming what's meant will be revealed in due course and I was more interested to learn how he intended dealing with current assets as it's unlikely he'd expand about any more grandiose plans otherwise it would have been part of the initial pitch, I assumed.

LayLadyLay - your scenario suggests NR masterminded his own exit which is at variance to the posts from large shareholders and what I was told by NEDs last Wednesday - Andrew Monk also played his part.
