Sinochem our 50% partner and manager of block 26 whilst GPX have been at arms length due to EU sanctions - have a look at the GPX last annual and interim report - the barrels of oil sold is ' considerable ' - I wouldn't want to do the math in case I'm accused of ramping - oil transported via pipeline and tankers. Also look at the ' Align ' broker reports - links available by back scroll on this board - not very far - look at the chunky one not the latest ' top ten ' report although I'm pleased we made the cut there!!!

Trent - watch this space - the EU don't see more immigration as a vote winner so I'm thinking they will be rethinking policy on sanctions particularly if Trump and Putin reach an understanding on Syria where they have a shared interest in addressing ISIS, Putin also has other interests but US are likely to be more pragmatic under new man bearing in mind how the existing policy worked out for them.

Dawn - good morning have a good day! As it happens I have experienced the scenario you outlined on the tube and i did wonder why almost everyone was on mobs scrolling furiously - I assumed it was Tinder but noooooo turns out to be LSE - what a wonderful site!

beengenius - your last para - very much an option which will be uppermost in their minds! With all the people displaced in Syria I'm thinking that sitting on their hands is not an option for the EU having regard to the pressure on Turkey - I think we will know by January if movement is likely.

goodshare - LAR just trying to talk the price down for his next trade IMO as he's told us he's out - why bother to deramp otherwise!

beengenius - the Times told us there was a change in foreign policy by the EU a few weeks ago offering some form of financial aid - reading a response on here from a pro Syrian Government paper they were pretty unimpressed with it and since then the conflict has progressed in their favour. It would appear that the EU have realised that more immigration from that region is not universally welcomed and can be damaging electorally so that a different tack is being tried. Assuming Trump and Putin come to an understanding on Syria the EU stance may appear rather odd to the member countries so I expect more developments here as the EU appear to have plenty to lose and little to gain by not working with the Syrian Government. Just my opinion we will have to wait and see. BTW garyn I believe you commented on infrastructure damage - clearly that is apparent from the TV pictures but I've not heard of any damage in the area of block 26 - were you just making a general comment or do you know something specific to that area, if so can you cite the evidence please?
