Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Good Morning Everyone,
some very interesting posting this morning.
I think AM's move to COPLA was deliberate ( I am certain that he has no love loss for Anavio ) and would want to keep them as far away from the JV negotiations as possible .
I have thought for a long time that the overall discovery asset will eventually yield a very big number for us.
( timeframe unknown ).
So for what it is worth I will throw my hat in the ring with this story.
I think that the “Large company “ will only want to deal with a company that is full control of its own destiny.
Why only CC to start with, they will want to sort out the other 15% of BFFDU before full commitment to that part of the property ( and maybe in a good position to do so ).
So to the shape of a possible deal.
There will be a cash component ( at least enough to get rid of the hangers on ).
There will be a full carry for delineation and probably onto full production.
Built into this will be proportions for expenses of expenditure and earnings for CCS and EOR.
There will also be a lock in for future expansion into the BFFDU.
Could be an option to buy the lot – mins the BFU down the line.
No some have wondered why negotiations are taking so long ,
to work out all the fine details on a deal like this ( logistically , financially and legally ) is a mammoth task.
I also think timing was another important factor.
I think the timing of the closure of the ( Denbury Exxon deal ) maybe significant.
Either way their will be a good result for our patience ( or the lack of it LOL ),
and for those who hang on in for the long haul a very good income ( dividends etc ) will surely come
( if your young enough to wait ) unfortunately that doesn't include me LOL.

good evening everyone ,
whilst agreeing with everything stas and others have highlighted about trans's usual poor attempt at trolling the negative again as regards the 2000bopd full funding figure ( maybe at his masters behest ).
there was in fact a legitimate argument which could have been made by a more switched on and intelligent poster about the statement in rna with much more powerful effect which could not have been disputed by any of us as because of the wording in the rna is not clear.
is it 2000bopd net to copl or is it 2000bopd gross to copl.
if it is the former we only need 1700bopd net to copl , if it is the latter we need 2300bopd !!!!!!.
so there it is,
i am not bothered either way as i am sure that increased injection pressures ( which the new kit is designed to handle with ease when fully commisioned ) the production will eventually climb much higher than these numbers.
as eazy has pointed out on numerous occassions we already achieved a daily production of 2700bopd in late 2021 when we were not fit to handle the pressures and seperation.
please ,
to all the lth's and even some of the recent brothers and sisters who have only joined us belatedly.
do not be fooled by the trollers the mm's or the rest of the market.
they no that a very lucrative jv is on the way and are trying every trick in their considerable ****nal to get hold or your shares on the cheap.
hold fast.
gla.
Good Afternoon Stas ,
Absolutely correct.
FF you don,t half talk rubbish,
do you seriously think Anavio did not look closely at the data on GGS and the consequent timeline for its commisioning and performance timeline before they commited the funds to install.
I doubt it .
Yesterdays RNA has nothing to do with field performance.
Why don't you start your own thread to sow the seeds of doubt you so clearly enjoy instead of polluting the thoughts of those who like to interpret actual known data to predict the likely performance of the BFU for those who unsure.
I think it will take 2 months of injection before output will take us above and way beyond the highs in production achieved in late 2021.
If you analyze the data they were already starting to reduce injection because they already realised there was a problem handling the gas pressure which did not become a problem until after the oil numbers started to rise.
With the new equipment now installed that will not occur this time ,
then we will see if the field can live up to what was predicted ,
i suspect it will easily achieve them.
GLA.
Good Morning Bob,
There is nothing to worry about on the GGS front ,
the equipment was designed to remove and control presure from injected gas .
injection in august was actually down on july which included the most important injector off closest to the best producing wells around the gas plant , ( for 2 months in a row ).
There has been no extra injected gas for the kit to handle yet, they are clearly still commissioning and testing in August.
All will be well in time.
GL.
Tiburns Post,
OH NO- The GGS is installed but not yet returning higher production as many wells not yet tied in and maximising production.
Its a calamity, this minor delay to ensure the system works safely and without problems, this methodical and steady approach taken.
All my positivity on the asset, the ability of the field to reach previous highs of 65k /month with plastic pipes and towards 150k-200k with steel installed was obviously totally flawed.
Mr F F Trite Troll is the "one to listen to with his objective reasoned technical evaluation"
Or not.
What giddy malevolent glee demonstrated by the incumbent teenage girl trolls, demonstrating zero technical knowledge. Filter and ignore best policy.
Sept may show the prod rise expected, if not then October - the key is it will happen - The WTI rise combined with O&A cost reductions allows Southwestern time to bed the system in without as much impact to revenue , this steady approach puts the field on a solid foundation - as push to fast and too soon could create problems they cannot entertain - GGS has to work - and will work well with this prudent approach.
The technology is proven, this isnt Southwestern trailblazing a new risky approach to production in this established producing formation.
Good Afternoon Everyone.
I think for those of us that have been invested for a long time and those who are on the sidelines waiting should ask themselves a few questions.
Personally I think the GGS system was always going to work and profitability is guaranteed,
it,s a given for me and I don't consider it that much any more.
More interestingly, I think we can take massive solace from the fact that JV negotiations are taking so long.
Why,
if they were just talking about a full carry for a few de-lineation wells the negotiations would have been completed very quickly, ( after all the price of a few wells is less than pocket change to a respected industry leader ) compared to the size of the prize potentially on offer.
Therefore have people considered why the deal has taken a year to be concluded,
could it be ,
that decisions have to be made about what the full carry will include ,
what share of a potential Co2 pipeline would be included,
what would be the splits of government subsidies for EOR or CCS,
what value would be attributed to dormant wells for storage,
what the split of revenues might be ,
if CCU is successful what would be the process to extend the agreement to the BFFDU,
what level of WI they may ultimately want .
These are just a few of the many considerations ( both financial and legal ) that would have to be addressed in a large and comprehensive JV agreement.
So the longer it is taking the more confident I have become that we are on the cusp of a major turnaround event for both COPL and the us the long suffering investors LOL.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
https://www.offshore-mag.com/drilling-completion/article/14292027/exxon-quits-drilling-in-brazil-after-failing-to-find-oil
FF you haven't obviously not taken Exxons strategies into account.
If it is them they will not mess about looking for a lowball appraisal if theycome in they will want to prove it one way or the other saving a few pennies will not be their consideration i think.

Stas ? why would he post resolutions to the market when they are only of concern to shareholders of the company.
GLA.
Good Evening Yankee,
I am a little bemused by your statement,
"What I just don't understand however is why the likes of R_Dunc and many others have to provide such comprehensive information that benefits us all. Why not the company itself?"
Where do think the information R- Dunc was using is coming from ?.
He is interpolating from data in the current presentation and production data from aug/sept 2021 ,
all provided by the company.
Its all there if you choose to take it in.
Carry on increasing the peace PLEASE.
Have a Good Evening.
Good Evening Everyone ,you have been missed Tiburn,
i think this is the video you were refering to earlier for those who did not see it first time around.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUMtJzsw1Nk
Nothing that Tiburn has posted re- horizontals is without the realms of possibility . As Eazy has pointed out recently there are horizontals only 15 miles away to the northeast already producing circa 350 - 650 Bls/d in the frontier 1 and thats without EOR. So if others can achieve this level of production why on earth do people not believe our wells will not achieve the same
Thanks to R Dunc for highlighting the correlation between the gas pressure and the production. indeed these are facts not fantasy anybody who is capable of understanding a graph cannot dispute this .
The naysayers can speculate on many things which cannot be proved either way, but the production data on the graphs show that once the GGS system is in place progress will be made.
Enough for now.
GLA
Agreed,
But remember i did not name you in the posts today i was refering to everyone who shares your view ,
i was not refering to you individually you were and have been the one naming me individually on reply.
The saddest thing is before you became convinced of this view i used to look forward to reading your posts.
i have always looked for research to help people understand the asset and the possibilties,
that is why i post infrequently as it is difficult to find anything new or exciting .
Ok we will agree to disagree about AM's voracity.
And hopefully agree on the quality of the asset ,
hopefully in the not to distant future the issue will be resolved one way or the other.
GL. B
stas this is our posting numbers over the last 30 days,
we get it you don,t trust art.
i disagree remember you were the one who wants him to give away the company for 25p a share.
but ok i am not going to get into a ****ging match.
i offer you a deal.
i will not post again until a jv deal is either confirmed or denied ,
as long as you agree to do the same.
can't say fairer than that.
and in case you agree ,
good luck to everyone.
Stas,
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black
This from the person who posts this on Friday.
“Anyway, I shall reduce or maybe even stop altogether posting here, as the proverb goes "There are none so blind as those who will not see", seems to be so apt that even I have to see the futility of my posting here.”
After imploring your leader earlier in the day to push for 25p takeout ( I noted that he was not posting to support that ).
To post this on Sunday .
“Funny how amongst some it seems to be acceptable to lie and misdirect as long as the ultimate goal is met
I will not be surprised to see in time Millholland defending his own case which on the surface and in depth seems to be totally indefensible.”
Maybe I am wrong but are you not following the very route you criticise AM for.
“Funny how amongst some it seems to be acceptable to lie and misdirect as long as the ultimate goal is met”
So it seems to be business as usual then lol.
I put my views up against your bile any day.
End Off.
