That is the point how can there be another offer when nobody else can have access to the DATA,

that is the point of the NDA ,

another company could ask for the data if the name was announced before signing.

I myself am not immune from this for example, when the SAS was formed I was suspicious and did not post on it with a kindly light, therefore I wish to issue an apology to SMISHMNAN and the rest of the group who were clearly acting honourably and with after meeting statements have tried to return the board to some level of sanity and indeed that AM may have taken onboard the virtue that any COMMS with his PI's is better than no comm's.

To address another issue people do not seem to understand the reasons or purpose of the NDA, it is not for COPL's benefit , I am sure AM would love to let us know the “NAME “, he has dropped what information he dare at every opportunity even this week we now know that the frontier 1 at CC is now part of this ever expanding and complicated deal, also explaining why it has been silent running mode on the CC recompletions .The actual reason for the NDA is for the protection of the “large oil company “, do you seriously think that said company is going to risk another company starting a bidding war ( re the Chevron / Occidental battle a couple of years ago ),then having to explain to their own shareholders how they let their interest be known before the deal was signed and costing them a vastly inflated price to keep it . Especially with the large US oilers turning there attentions homeward at the moment .

This is the reason for the NDA nothing clandestine just good business practice,so we must wait and see, and hope that either this or the improvements in production that will surely follow our GGS upgrades will get our vastly under priced SP finally moving in the direction we all have hoped for and expected.

on the face of it the colloquialism “ a leopard cannot change his spots “is simple and clear and is as true. But when you analyse it more closely the story becomes completely different.

For instance , why would a leopard wish to change its spots. It is the ultimate apex predator able to adapt to the circumstances and conditions in which it finds itself everyday and change its strategy accordingly to survive and flourish . I for one would rather have my investment controlled by some one who is driven to succeed no matter what obstacles he faces .

Now lets analyse another colloquialism “ innocent until proven guilty “.some would have us believe that we have we have lied to misled even conned . I would contend that our leader actually likes to spread good news which has laid him open to accusations when external factors take over render the good news timing delayed or even redundant is AM guilty of this I think so. Does this make him a liar and a cheat NO. I could give a few examples of this but to do so would take up many pages to do so , I will give one.

When AM secured CUDA with the bonds he explained to us that if he did not take this route not using the CUDA asset to secure the funds , under the terms of the senior lender we would not be able to secure RBL for another year ( many seem to have forgotten this detail ). I think at the time he genuinely thought he would easily be able to secure such funding .But by the time the deal was finally completed the interest rate crisis had struck , he probably was offered terms which were probably just as onerous as the senior lender therefore of no use. I am sure he may still take this route after a JV is signed if he needs to ( personally I think the JV will be so advantageous we will not need it). This could be called an unfortunate error but is not a lie.

If you look at other bb's on LSE you will find accusations flying around against CEO's of a similar nature, but not many have many have been researched as comprehensively by so many of the contributors as this one, every RNA ,event , presentation ,relevant outside article has a magnifying glass put over it . Literally nothing escapes this board and as a result because of the social media fixation with short termism and sensationalism it is breeding ground for negativity at times.

I wonder if those of us that have had to suffer the slings and arrows of this BB for a long time have imagined what life will be like after our JV is announced.

For all those that have diligently searched for information to inform themselves and subsequently others to have the best position to judge the possibilities for COPL.

Life will be very different.

Most of the position posters and traders will gradually fade away as the share will have a largely upward trajectory for a long time,

Instead of trying to counteract the doomsters and naysayers we will probably be babbling on about how much improvement there will be in next month's production figures ,

watching for data on how many new wells will be drilled in the coming months,

how quickly upgrades will be made to GGS system for the BFU

( many will not even care about this ) ,

is the pipeline going to be laid and when for EOG in the deeps , and CCS at Cole Creek initially .

These are the consequences of a favourable outcome to the quoted paragraph above.

Instead of living on a knife edge worrying about how much debt we are carrying,

will we survive the next couple of months,

we will be agog at the sudden ease and size of the amount of money we will be able to borrow to keep up our end of the long term development,

whilst encased and with the acquiescence of a LARGE oil company by our side.

This is our future prospect,

if it is not this JV then it will be another one!.

REMEMBER.

That we have one the largest onshore USA discoveries in decades,

everybody ( who matters and other LARGE oil companies probably watching to see if our current deal gets over the line ) know this ,

AM knows it,

the BONDHOLDERS know it,

the STATE GOVERNOR knows it ,

the SENATOR knows it .

The MM's and traders know it as well and take advantage of our precarious position, lack of good sentiment through previous experiences ,

everybody wants to play in this game .

IMHO opinion the games are about to STOP .

Life will then become much less stressful and probably

Just to add a few more nuggets to this thread.
Exxons plant at schute creek plant run by its wholly owned subsidiary XTO Energy only uses 50% of the C02 that it produces , the rest is released straight back into the air i am sure they would like to improve on this %.
They have a 600 and odd mile pipeline which goes to Salt Creek for EOR ,
Salt Creek is the largest ever producing field in the PRB ( circa 800 million production so far ),
this field is approximately 20 miles northwest of Cole Creek.
What do we have at CC around 50 old none producing wells.
So it could be that we would be doubly attractive Exxon as a JV partner,
we could us EOR for maximum production from a fully delineated and producing Frontier discovery,
we could also be of use for C02 storage in the defunct CC wells as well as from a depleting production discovery as time goes by.
So it would be the double whammy for them and for us!!!!.
Of course this is only speculation but may explain why the negotiations are taking so long ,
it would be a massively complicated deal in all its aspect requiring ongoing changes to the deal as the full picture emerges.

as you can probably gather from my title I want to look at the situation we are in from the other point of view.
When all is said and done they are in here for the same reason we all are. “To make money.”
Clearly and ( especially at the moment ) they have advantages we do not have.
They almost definitely know more of what is going on than we do.
Well you could say that that is their right with the investments they have made to keep us as a
GOING CONCERN LOL.
You could definitely say that they will position themselves to their own best advantage,
this is of course the privilege of being a major investor.
How do they do this?
Well obviously they take maximum advantage of fees and exploit the conversion share price as much as possible,
if they believe in the prospects of the project they support with the minimum funds necessary to see it to fruition. BUT.
For them the same as for us the opportunity for the BIG BUCKS ( or £'s if you like ) will come only depending on how many shares they hold if the JV news breaks.
Ever since they have come on board,
I have assumed that they will convert the maximum No of shares they can just before any JV news breaks. I do not know the intricacies of whether they can understand what is behind the NDA or not.
Maybe others know better ??.
If they are taking a leap of faith ( and research ) the same as us ,
I can only take today's conversion as a POSITIVE.
I am certainly a half glass full type of person and absolutely on the TIBURN wing of this board,
my brother on the other hand ( who has been invested here as long as i have ),
i hope will forgive me for saying is more a glass half empty kind of person,
( and currently more on the STAS wing of the board ), because he believes that AM should be communicating to us the PI's as much as possible as is our right as owners of the company.
Anyway he sent me this a couple of weeks ago and I have decided that now is the time to inject a bit of levity into our plight.

Just for everybodys information the law firm issuing the TR1 acted for COPL in LIBERIA,
so they do have a track record with us,
so the assumption that they are the sellers maybe tenuous.
2.2 million is a lot of legal work i wonder what was involved in that?
Traders have made a nice friday afternoon buck .
Hopefully one day we will break free of the stranglehold they have on us.

My perception Smishman is probably similar to everyone elses,
confused at the lack of comms.
My brother also a shareholder here actually would probably join your band,
but although i am not in disagreement with the sentiment that we own the company and should be receiving more information ,
i don't think there is anything to be gained for us by forcing the issue,
indeed it may give others more ammunition to play their games to hurt us even more in the short term.
If we have all been duped it is probably to late already.
I still remind myself that AM has a lot of skin in the game ,
we also know from past experience that AM likes to give good news maybe even before he is sure.
Could it be that this time he will not or cannot give the game away ,
i am sure that his ego would like to please us but until the deal is signed sealed and delivered he will not do it for the JV.

I apologise to the board for being very quiet lately.
As I have had no new incites or interesting research to report I have decided to keep my thoughts to myself and one or two others on the board who I have private contact with.
Today however is a different day.
Whilst I share the frustrations of others ( I have friends who I persuaded that this would be a worthwhile investment ) the lack of progress or comms is definitely galling.
But the reason I have decided to post today is about the title.
Perceptions.
Definition “the way in which something is regarded,understood,or interpreted.”
As we stand a lot of the posting on this BB is just that.
I have never disguised the fact that I am of a positive bent ,
and if when all the facts emerge as regards to the JV , RBL , or even the much fabled Resource Report for the Discovery , it turns out that I was wrong then I will have egg on my face.
I will have to beg for the forgiveness of friends and publicly apologise to any on this board I may have influenced.
BUT.
We are not there yet the facts have not yet fully emerged from the admittedly limited information we have received,
I know the use of hyperbole either positively or negatively is the modern way on social media
IMHO it is not helpful.
Now I will give an example of what I mean of when the facts are not fully apparent.
I am going to apologise to Smishman 75 in advance ,
but it beautifully illustrates the point I am trying to make,
I know not whether his attempts genuinely or otherwise to organize the SAS justified or not
( but in my opinion not helpful ),
when people make big statements I tend to look at their posting history to get a feel for their thoughts .
I clicked quite by chance on page 10 to see on the 11/02/21 the same throwaway e- mail address
he was using this morning on a different board.
It means nothing,
it tells people nothing,
but by exposing it people will be suspicious and see it in a different light.

Thus it is with COPL until all the facts emerge no judgements can be made on AM or his actions,
so why don't we all just wait until the truth emerges one way or the other.

I still believe until proven otherwise.
