The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
My hope is that Sunrise has been on hold pending the outcome of the talks with Santos. Now that is done and dusted, hopefully we see a bit of a push to get that moving.
Maybe they'll come knocking but my gut tells me not.
It's been an 'interesting' week. Here's hoping for something from TL Government next week.
Have a good weekend all.
When AimingHigh first appeared on the board, it took 2 posts for me to decide without doubt that the filter was for them.
NOTHING to add. Either a deeply disturbed individual or a 13 year old boy with no friends! Either way, some love and friendship needed, just not from me!
Today's RNS got the response it warranted. The issue here is that last week's RNS got a response that was WAY over the top and lots of newbees are unhappy they got sucked in.
The 20% share of cost payable by TG either helps BOIL with regards to reducing any cash raise if Sundagas remain operator for the drill or make it a more appealing proposition for any Farminee!
Nothing has changed other than the NOC is more closely tied in and a 5th of the drill is now paid for. Happy days.
Thanks Filthy.
If anything comes of this, let's hope it's part of a concerted effort across their assets and does not create any delays by keeping the wolves from the door!
P.S. I know you aren't going anywhere, just never seen you be anything other than positive! Not long, mate!
Filthy, I've never known you so down on BOIL!
BillyBob, with respect, you appear to have bought in last week, likely because of the huge rise, but if you'd looked at the history of this share you'll have seen a number of spikes (often not based on news, unlike last week) which then quickly return to the previous position. If you wanted to make a quick buck, you had to sell on the day! I had a sell agreed at 0.162 but let my heart rule my head and cancelled it before it went through. I'm a little disappointed as I could have increased my holding but I had no intention of getting out!
Nothing has changed in terms of the potential upside, other than the NOC is now closer to our project which means it has some of their focus and a stronger position. We have a vast quantity of gas waiting to be extracted and all we need is the go ahead from TL gov.
THAT is the news we need. The rise last week was way over the top based on flimsy news . I wonder if there was some orchestrated ramping going on somewhere but I didn't see anything other than some silly talk on here.
Hang on in there folks, I believe our time will come.......soon.
GLA.
We just keep demonstrating the upside, Filthy.
The risks here are not with the drill as that is an (almost) forgone conclusion. The main risk is the political impasse but that is looking a little bit better all the time. Once we get the green light, we start to focus on the value of the gas. In fact, I'm pretty sure the big boys and girls know exactly what's down there so it's a case of does one of them take a bit of a punt and make a pre-drill offer or are they all waiting for the results?
GLA.
Jelly,
If you genuinely believe that to be the case, you really ought to sell. Even if you're down at the moment, if the scenario you paint is true, you are only going to lose more.
I believe you would be making a mistake but that's just my opinion, of course.
The news has been flowing with increasing regularity and it's pretty obvious TL needs to take advantage of it's asset before it's too late.
I also think he is right to play a bit of hardball with Woodside. In my opinion, they have been stalling any progress on Sunrise with a view to forcing TL to Darwin. I don't blame TL one bit for trying to use the asset not only to bolster their coffers but also to create highly skilled jobs for their people. I just hope they use Chuditch via an FLNG Facility to help pay for their own facilities.
Good luck.
Jelly, once again, it's because no matter how 'good' the news is, until we have a route to market approved, Baron cannot make any money, either through sale of the asset or free carry on farm out (former more likely).
Let Horta get over his jetlag, write his speech and announce the next steps. Then wooooooosh!
Yes it's frustrating but no amount of PR can deflect from the lack of agreement from TL. But it's coming.
I said at the height of the rise, that I hadn't expected that news to attract so much interest. The fact we've fallen back down again would tend to suggest what I thought.
That said, it shows there are people watching so any proper news and hold onto your pants!
I'm waiting as long as it takes.
GLA
Jelly, just read what VisitTimor posts, what Jarv and Filthy uncover. This will explain why the rises don't stick but also why one of them will either stick or be so high we'll all be in the Bahamas shortly afterwards!
It was up as much as 100% yesterday on the back of news that we all knew was coming. If we get some real news from TL Gov then just imagine what could happen.
Patience is what is needed and whilst I know we've been saying that for years, it is about to pay off (or at least it looks more likely than I can remember).
