Well ---command decision just taken ( lol) ---closed all shorts a few minutes ago on all Indicies .Have banked more than enough to see me thru' now and my stock shorts will add to that if things get uglier which they probably will ?? need to take a bit of the hassle and tension from my furrowed brow (lol) ---will go long , perhaps, if dust settles anytime soon -----GLA.

GB----Good Morning and well done ---yes, i somehow thought it was not all over yet ?? ----needless to say i left my Ftse and Dax shorts running and it triggered me short the Dow again @ 16100 this morning --took a small loss on a Dow long which was triggered @ 16140 ( - 40 pts) ----have stopped bothering about my stocks for the mom. as i've got really low buy level orders for many and the others i'm either short of or out of !! ----GL sir ----

Indicies are respecting supp. levels on the way down first time around --will be interesting now to see if Dow 16000 , Dax 8540 ish and Ftse 6060 ish(not yet tested ) hold when next tested --GLA.

Some interesting figures everyone ( or depressing maybe ) :- Dax :- 15% fall from year high to todays low ( Correction good and true ) Ftse100 :- 10.5 % fall from year high to todays low ( Correction , just ) Dow :- 8.5% fall from year high to todays low !!! . Told you it was depressing (lol) ------------GLA .

(lol) --i wanted to wait till the daily channel was broken so didn't go long until 15941 --(closed all my Dow shorts )closed the long on the channel again @ 16102 (161 pts. ) --shorts have banked me a brilliant haul ---Dax and Ftse will have to wait until tonights dust settles ----Orders are in for Dow tho' ( both ways ) ----GL. --take the plunge next time GB ---just be sure to give yourself a bit of leeway as it may not be all over just yet ?? !! -----

Jolly ----many thanks ,-- but Dow 2009 uptrend still in place and still quite some way off a 10% correction at the moment ---however, your concerns are well founded . -----short gold today @ 1247.3 ------still short all Indicies at the moment altho' did jump in with a Dow dec. long and caught a 65 pt. bounce --they all must count now (lol) -------------GL budd.

GB ---Good afternoon --- Yes , tough decisions needed at the moment ---Common Concensus is a bounce on the Indicies before more falls --protect yourself which ever way suits your style of trading --i tend to open posns. in the opposite direction even if it means eventually equaling out ---i'm then making money on the downside on paper ----swings and roundabouts , i know ----Dow is widely expected to test the 2009 uptrend channel now ( 15650 ish ) if 16000 gets breached ---16300 and 16250 will offer support , hopefully , on the way down ----any bounce needs to retake not just 16600 significantly but 16740/50 for confirmation ----Ftse and Dax are extremely " bearish " but no bear markets just yet ---GL.

Jolly ---Yes , you may well be right of course but i don't think anyone here is claiming to be an expert tho' ? -----some interesting posts over on the "Stockmarket Direction " board . ----GL .

Ftse100 and Dax have tested days lows at least once and bounced ( 6327 & 8788) so we have levels to work of for now ----Dow has risen to the 16740/50 area i referred to twice now but has twice retreated ?? ---as long as 16600 holds we have a chance of the rally continuing !!---Dow gains should temper Dax and Ftse falls for now-- Dax and Ftse , however, have well defined downtrending channels from their days highs which give levels on the upside to watch as well -------GLA.

SirG ----know what you mean (lol) -- - Dow 16600 is important obviously , so i'm playing around that level but 16740 needs to be re-taken for better confirmation --Ftse and Dax have already broken fairly good previous supports-- my post was just to highlight that if you're not really sure then best to wait until higher support levels are seen -----plenty to be made even if you have to wait for a while either way ----GL.

Jolly ----Yes , there is that scenario , true, especially as Dow is not a straight foward / natural hedge against spot gold , or silver . The dis-connect between Dow and Gold has been evermore evident in recent weeks ---certainly not making things easy for us "poor " traders (lol) ----GL.

jolly -----Altho' 2009 trend line on the Dow comes in around 16550/16600 i think i'll swop that for Dow 16350/16400 supp. ---Ftse100 is already well below 2009 trend line , that comes in at around 6600 i think ? and Dax has no real 2009 trendline but i'm using previous major supp. @ 9000 and a bit below @ 8900 ----Spot Gold has rallied recently quite remarkably and may test res. @ 1240 but common analytical view is that 1200 will get broken again and then it's hello 1000 here i come (lol) -----if spot gold is going to do that then DOW will go in opposite direction which is up !! --- anyway it's all guesswork, isn't it ?? (lol) ---GL.

No bears in the woods just yet , just a herd of "corrective bulls " ----but there are a lot of babies unfortunately being thrown out with the bath water (lol) ----but my previous posts do , however, reflect your concern on some critical levels approaching rapidly ( Ftse100, 6350/6400 ---Dax , 8900/9000 and Dow 16600 ) --- answer is simples , short the hell out of everything if these levels get breached ----GL.

FP / All ----Afternoon ---everything turned down again !!! ---did trigger me back in yesterday but have been stopped out of the indicies on my rising stops for just a total of 83 pts ---Dax looking very weak , followed by Ftse100 ---Dow is the only one that Analysts are bullish on ?? ---total disconnect or not ? --time will tell i suppose ----GLA.
