My gut feeling, is that both Boop and Nutricircle will soon be acquired by THG , leaving DD to the Huddled shareholders.

DD will remain in the existing warehouse and Huddled will squander the proceeds of the sales under the headings “ Expansion, rapid growth, buying power etc”

Sorry to say , I am feeling more and more cynical about the business.

As ever ,would love to be proved wrong.

Quite nice of them to make a video of their warehouse staff before they get made redundant .

Acquisitions

THG has pursued an acquisition strategy of mainly taking full ownership of e-commerce businesses in a variety of retail sectors and putting the websites onto the e-commerce platform, THG Ingenuity.

If you look at the list of previous acquisitions , it does seem that some parts of the Huddled group would fit.

Saying that, if they were in discussions, then it should/would have been announced.

The lack of updates, Higginson’s new directorship outside the company , and the fairly drastic move of warehouse premises, does suggest to me that there is something more than a move going on .

With luck, we might know more by 2028.

The fact that the lack of warehouse space has been blamed was blamed for constricting sales, means that there cant currently be a valid excuse for a lack of growth.

After all, Martin Higginson did state that demand has been proven and all they have to do is turn the taps on.

Eventually we will see if that statement was somewhat fanciful or not .

I'm inclined to think that the complete lack of any current sales figures suggests that there is nothing good to say.

As usual, I would love to be proved wrong.

From an investors point of view, the promises made by Huddled are currently not being kept.

First of all , after saying they will never need to raise funds , they eventually did.

Secondly, the last trading update was in April, so the quarter is well up… So why no update ?

They touted the fact that they were about to go into profit over a year ago and still have not managed it.

It’s all smoke and mirrors and as an investor, I can’t say I’m particularly impressed .

I have a feeling the company will be sold at a minuscule premium fairly soon.

Well, that relationship didn’t last long.

Big savings on transport costs were touted at the time .

We've listened to feedback like yours and have now made the decision to move away from DPD. All orders are now being shipped via Royal Mail to improve reliability and reduce these types of issues going forward.

You could view his new appointment in a couple of ways.

Firstly , why do it and spread your time elsewhere whilst trying to grow a new business ?

Secondly he’s on the way out , and for me, that implies Huddled will be sold on.

We shall see .

A rather strange appointment if he is still committed to Huddled group.

Fair point Bobby, however if you look at the Boop website fragrances pages, it is quite clear that it was quite a large shipment.

Shareholders very much in the dark at the moment, so an update is due and would be helpful

I don't doubt that fragrances are a great addition to the range, but they do seem to have jumped quite drastically from low end to top end , and I would not have thought the customer base is ready for that move.

Looking at the quantities involved it appears like an "All in " gamble.

Perhaps they have an advertising push looming in order to pull in a new client type.

I'm with Stalin on his thoughts, although tagging along with my wife in a louis Vuitton shop or looking at some Vilebrequin swimming shorts for £400 always makes me think WTF its ridiculous ?.

I would be surprised .

My wife for example, loves a spend up on ridiculously priced high end items, but over her dead body would she buy top end goods from a discount store.

They have thrown the kitchen sink into high end perfumes on Boop.

Hope they have them on sale or return, otherwise they have just gambled a fortune.

I’m not convinced it’s the greatest of moves as I am not convinced the average Boop customer profile has that type of disposable income.

My gut feeling is that the average Tom Ford/ Creed purchaser , differs than the average Boop user. and they may get stuck with the stock.

It’s a huge gamble .

I expect there is a trading update in the offing after doing some dummy trades this morning .

Really not sure what to expect, but I would guess the words "Summer holidays, warehouse moves, stock reduction, stock clearance etc, future profits etc ) will spring up somewhere.

A bit disappointing, but long term the markets for raw materials are always going to ebb and flow, so nothing too concerning going forward imo.

He has simply transferred shares to his pension fund and his holding remains the same..

My guess is that the next update will say that they had a poor quarter as they were selling off stock on the cheap in order to clear out the warehouse in Preparation for the move.

Will be accompanied by some summer holidays excuses.
