Where does it state that the company is in advanced discussions with a large international coal mining company? I would genuinely like to see that, as if it is stated as that, I would be much more confident. Thanks.

Just a recap of state of play with finding a mining partner. This is from the interims at the end of March.

Over the coming months, the GCM team is looking forward to progressing negotiations with a large international coal mining company to partner with the Company in mine development, to work with its partners to finalise the submission to the Government, and then consult with the Government to finalise an agreeable proposition which is amenable to all parties.

Not sure how old this is, but I think it is latest as Kilkenny is shown at reduced holding. There is only 49% float.

I agree GP. It’s China all the way in Bangla, and anything state owned, IMHO, makes its an odd on certainty that Hasina will back it. If the Chinese can mine it, they are already mining Bara, and build and run the power plants, a Chinese buy out looks certain. £3-4 will do me nicely.

I have been looking at the Chinese state owned mining companies. I believe this entire project will be Chinese run, including the mining of Phulbari. The Shenhua Group is state owned and runs the biggest open cast mine in China.

China's largest open-pit coal mine is located in Haerwusu in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It started production on 20 October 2008, and is operated by Shenhua Group. Its estimated coal output was forecast at 7 million tonnes in the fourth quarter of 2008. With a designed annual capacity of 20 million tonnes of crude coal, it will operate for approximately 79 years. Its coal reserves total about 1.73 billion tonnes. It is rich in low-sulfur steam coal.[17] Mines in Inner Mongolia are rapidly expanding production, with 637 million tons produced in 2009. Transport of coal from this region to seaports on China's coast has overloaded highways such as China National Highway 110 resulting in chronic traffic jams and delays.[18]

Good summary post Stoney. When we did the CHK1 deal with Sierra we needed CRT to do the deal, that is why we were left with 27%. I have been adding things up on the recent new recruits, including Parker, and it would make sense that we just could not do any substantial deal with just Tim and John. The recent NED’s announcements came quickly and out of the blue, so, maybe I am wrong but I honestly believe that there is some serious discussion with interested parties in the background and without the extra hands and their experiences it just could not happen. Over the past months and years, you have done sterling work at researching, and you have shared everything you have found. I appreciate that and hopefully you will do very well out of whatever it goes for....eventually.
I get the impression that when we done the deal with Sierra, we had to use CRT to do all the footwork and conclude the deal, but now we are gearing up to do the next deal entirely on our own. With the NED’s on board with all of their experience, I just get the impression that something is going on. Thanks and GL and GLA.

Thanks for figures JT. For Tim and John to get £5M after they pay the cost of option price, the share needs to be 7.5p. I have long thought that messers Mitchell and Reader will have a minimum figure to go out on, and maybe a cool £5M will be enough. With 3bn shares in the pot after the options, to get 7.5p per share, you would be looking at £220-250million for a total buyout. That would certainly do me.
I also agree that there seems to be something happening in the background, maybe the pending patent appeal result will be the catalyst.....if it goes our way. GLA
