Digi, what do you think is going on with this share? Everyone, except the GoB, thinks Phulbari is a no brainer, yet months into the new government and not a mention. With at least 2 years to get anything out, I would have thought the GL would have been given in the first month. I am getting a little nervous now, with the SP dropping and still no specific mention of open pit, what the hell is going on.

I think GCM and PC should be working on a plan to get the coal out as early as possible, agreement now and it’s 2 years min with current plan, and this might be too long. The Chinese are brilliant at working smarter, get that time down to 15-18months and it is a lot more attractive.

Like someone mentioned on here earlier, IMO, discussions must be already under way and a fast track plan and early compensation payments could swing it, this and the collapse of US and Iran talks makes this project an even more no brainer.

I fully agree, if the GoB were a bit hesitant because of past history over Phulbari, the opportunity to give green light is here and now. They need to get the word out immediately and get spades in the ground, how could anyone with 1/2 a brain oppose this decision. Good luck.

I think you are spot on Aim. There will be strict protocols for the way Ivanhoe conduct surveys, select drill sites and analyse results. It seems if they strike ‘Gold’, pardon the pun, then all Ivanhoes boxes are ticked and a sale agreement can be made without going through the re-tests Etc. Would you buy a property on the strength of the sellers survey? I think not. As mentioned earlier, things will move very quickly as the results are first seen. Good luck all.

Once you register your application online through the South African Mineral Resources Administration System (SAMRAD), the following statutory timeframes apply:

Acceptance Notification: The Regional Manager must notify you in writing within 14 days if the application meets all requirements and has been accepted for processing.

Stakeholder Consultation: Once accepted, you must notify and consult with landowners and affected parties. You typically have 180 days from the date of notice to submit the results of these consultations for a mining right.

Ministerial Review: After the Regional Manager reviews the completed file (including environmental authorisations and social plans), it is forwarded to the Minister. The Minister's decision to grant or refuse is generally communicated within 30 days of receiving the file from the Regional Manager.

Final Registration (Lodgement): If granted, the holder must lodge the right for registration at the Mineral and Petroleum Titles Registration Office (MPTRO) within 60 days of the right becoming effective.

Extended until end of Q1 2026, I am expecting a lot of excellent news between now and then, and a substantial increase in SP. If our neighbours like the survey results it may be an early buyout or an excellent partnership as a minimum. If we have what we hope we have, a buyout for £150 million seems a snip. GLA.
