When you think of how barbarically Hasina treated members of the BNP,and other opposition members, before the last joke election, the BNP would not be ready for an immediate election. Many of the party shadow ministers were jailed, held in house arrest or even worse. The end of the year or early next year makes sense and gives the BNP a good shot of getting organised and ready for power. I too am sure that if the BNP are elected we will get the go ahead straight after. GL all.

Don’t forget Hasina never spared the rope for her opposition. She authorised the hanging of opposition leaders 44 years after the independence riots. Maybe she will be extradited and given a suspended sentence herself.

Just catching up. Great news that the Clunge has been sent packing. I think we might see a rerate in the SP earlier if the development of the nations own coal is mentioned in the BNP manifesto. In the 2018 BNP manifesto, they mentioned ‘Development of mega projects will continue. However, these projects will be thoroughly scrutinized to check corruption’ but no specific mention of Phulbari. If this was an orchestrated Coup, as some have mentioned, then just a mention in the manifesto of digging up nations black gold will really get the SP motoring.
