No one knows who's killing who. It might be a suicide, it might be Putin, or it might be People looking tk take Putin out, and they're taking out his loyal followers. I feel like Putin will get taken out at some point, he's crated problems for the big money Russians. I would imagine there are many Russians scheming against him.

Stop being sensible!!! Reminds me of something Warren Buffet said. "normally my buys are met with a yawn, rather than a gasp". I'll be holding for a while, but it would be nice to hear some good news to take the edge off. I almost feel like not counting the value of this and evraz at the moment,.just because it all seems like doom and gloom at the moment.

Dividends are where it's at for me, can divert that cash into other Investments, whilst I wait for SP to recover to normal levels.

I've not put it all on one stock, just sold one holding in another miner, and trimmed a bit off rolls Royce.

I had to sell a few things to buy POLY, not doing anything now until next year.

that wouldn't surprise me TBH, been a learning curve this last 2 years, started buying individual share's, instead of funds. I made the mistake before of buying and selling too much. Cineworld took me for a ride. I abandoned Royal mail after I got bored, only for them to double in price. I am getting better at holding now though, I have learnt my lesson (hopefully). Some guy from one of the big growth funds was saying it's normally year 3 or 4 that you get your big payday.

just another bot, I always feel like a small fry in these places, because I am a small fry. I don't mind though, because I know I'm fighting against the odds. Not only that, small frys don't get assassinated, I just need enough to retire, and maybe go on holiday a few times a year.

TBH, I was thinking he was a marked man when the Billionaires started getting sanctioned, you can't mess with the money, the money makes the rules.

Annoyingly, I have a few random shares from scrip/dividend that I will have to leave in my ISA, because if I sold them, I'd loose most of the money in fees. Still pays dividend though.

Seriously though, he must be absolutely exhausted, he's probably diabolically paranoid, knowing everything is falling apart around him, can't trust anyone.

Some guy at my work bought 5 shares, I was chatting to him about it. Though I think he's on stuff like trading 212, where you're not really buying shares. Trouble is, people view stocks and shares as gambling, they think it's crazy to stick thousands of pounds on shares. I didn't tell him how much I have sitting in my ISA, just said it's a lot more than 5 shares worth! TBH, most people think I'm crazy, they don't understand any of my reasoning for what I do. They're all talking about overpaying their mortgage. They ask me how much I over pay my mortgage, I tell them, I don't over pay my mortgage, the interest rate is so low, the bank are basically paying me to borrow money. They look at me like I've got two heads. They probably stay awake at night, worrying about their 5 share's, and will sell them after a few months, and use the money to over pay their mortgage.

I'm mo brexiter, but I have to say, I do wish people would focus on the job at hand. We've left now, and it's time to push forward, and make the most of the situation we find ourselves in.

I've got more in EVR too, decided to buy poly after this was suspended, was a moment, where I just thought F*"# it, and bought is, got a price of 127, which was insanely good, but we'll see how it turns out. I would out more in, nut I've got a bout a third of my ISA in evraz, and poly, and have decided that's enough for me.

At least it stops me second guessing everything. Holding POLY ATM, and I'm constantly overwhelmed by the urge to sell, I'm up around 100%, and the desire to lock in that gain is high. It basically feels like giving up smoking or something (maybe not quite that hard, but similar feeling).

Thanks for this, I was wondering if they're breaking the rules by not posting, but the rules are quite hard to understand, it says about accounting every 6 months, but not necessarily a trading update. Would be nice to get some kind of clarity, but oh well, patients pay dividends.

I'm not selling because that isn't my main strategy. I agree with Warren buffet, where he says, don't try to guess the market. I bought these shares, not because of their current value, but because they are Rolls Royce, the absolute daddy of engineering IMO. The pandemic made these shares cheap, and so I bought them. I will hold them, now for at least 5 years, but more than likely longer.

The main reason people think sanctions will be lifted is multi faceted.
1) Russia is massive, and supplies a lot of stuff we need.
2) the sanctions are almost pointless, because anything we don't buy will be bought up by India, and China, at discount, and therefore we're shooting ourselves in the foot.
3) The sanctions are there because of the war, and they will end when the war ends.

Most of the big sanctions/embargoes are on small countries, and are mostly to do with politics, trying to stamp out communism etc. Russia is not communist, and it is not small. Half the problem also, is that if we don't deal with Russia, then we have to deal with other nations, that we have sanctioned for being communists. When all is said and done, the big wigs that run the USA, the UK, the EU etc, they want those metals, that oil, and when it comes down to it, they don't care where it comes from. Just look at the massacres that have gone on throughout history, all for resources. The west are the biggest hypocrites, they say it's all about democracy etc, but really it's all about who's getting paid.

I'm holding, but you're right big blu, closing the ears is never a good idea. I won't put any more in, because I've already got nearly a third of my ISA in poly, and Evraz. I can't afford to lose more than that. I will either win, and be smug for eternity, or I will lose, and feel sick for a Month or two.

Only issue with non holders, is they watch the board, hoping it will fall so they are proved right. Though I'd argue the same is true the other way. I normally ignore the share after I've sold for my own sanity more than anything. Annoyingly Ive got £20 worth of shares in aviva, and wpp that sit in my ISA after an auto dividend purchase, that mock me with 60% up.
