Barclays said they just stay on account as suspended, and if they come back on LSE, you can then trade them again, but in mean time, cannot trade. I'm gonna leave mine as they are.

The wording on the evraz website says "may want to transfer to paper certificates", It doesn't actually say, to do it or not. I think for UK citizens, it doesn't matter either way, because you still can't sell them ( well, not easily anyway), and you can't receive a dividend (at least not legally). So you're basically screwed either way. I am inclined to go paper, because then I suppose it might just become a standard LTD, and then shares will still be good, but I'd imagine the broker still has to keep up their obligations to their clients. I'll message Barclays on monday, hopefully they'll be able to advise the best course of action.

Jayhayes, did you ask them to send a certificate? I'm not sure what to do on it.

According to my Barclays ISA, they don't provide the service of paper certificates. So I can't sell, and I can't get paper certificates. So my choice is made for me, better change my address on barclays though, just in case they send a cheque for the dividend!

I was thinking same as you Jotom, if the broker were to bail on evraz shares, then they'd have to send out paper certificates anyway, or else be guilty of some kind of fraud. Not sure about the ISA thing though, I don't hold enough shares to care, can just sell below my tax free allowance until all sold if they move them out of the tax wrapper.

just based purely on revenue form their last announcement. looked like it was a 60/40 split £10 a share pre war, so maybe £4 a share?

I agree with regards to taking joy in others losses. Trouble is, people play this game, with their egos, it's all about being right. As the guy said in the book, "what I learned form loosing a million dollars", he says, are you after profit, or to be a prophet? People get so caught up in being right, that they forget why they are doing this. If I disagree with someone, and turn out to be right, I don't much care to rub it in their face. I warned people about cryptocurrency, and did so from a place of concern for them losing their life savings. I know some have lost a lot recently,and it does no good to di the "I told you so" bit. We all learn by our mistakes.

I live near east Midlands airport, and have noticed a lot more planes, though they're short haul, so prob not using RR engines.

To some extent, I wonder why I even go on here, I'm long till it either recovers the price, or goes bust. I mostly look on here i the hope that I get some good news, so that I can celebrate.

China have been winning for quite some time, I feel like they are just on point, with everything. We can only hope they play nice, because I don't think they can be beaten. They are both smart, and big, a lethal combination.

you make out like invading Russia would be easy, if it was really that easy, they'd have done it already. It's a really tense situation, and quite frankly, it's in the land of damage control. A regime change is more likely, than an outright war.

You miss my point entirely, not everyone who presents an alternative view is working for the KGB. It's all a game, everyone is paranoid, and the west have performed regime change throughout history. There is no "good vs evil" battle, it's just one group, vs another group. I agree that we should have gone in hard to start with, but I'm not gonna sit here thinking I know better than the generals etc, that are literally expert's on war. Remember as well, it's not just a war of might, but a war of words too. The west and NATO have to maintain their image as the right and just party. If they rush things, there is eve more risk that they will look like the aggressor.

loanranger there's a conspiracy theory going round at the moment, that basically the US EU and UK, actually wanted Putin to invade Ukraine, so that they can force a regime change. Sounds possible, and something to consider when thinking about motives etc. The west doesn't want a new world order with China, Russia, and India as the big boys. Not saying this is 100% the case, but definitely something to consider.

I was on Yahoo finance, and they said they cannot buy ut on the OTC US market.

I think it's just a lack of news, and people are starting to get impatient. Plus AUCOY got sanctioned.

There is talk recently, with the blockade at Lithuania, and a direct war between NATO, and Russia. I know of course, we will have bigger problems if that happens, however, if it were to become an official NATO vs Russia war, what would happen to POLY? Could they still function in that scenario?

As I say Jotom, there are many views on the Northern situation, and I am in favour of the people on northern Ireland making that call. The good Friday agreement is about the only thing I like Tony Blair for.
