The board now looks like it's about a third green and another third arguing with the greens. I can see how daft it was to even bother now. People will tend to see what they want to see and a lot of people are scared/angry/confused at the best of times, let alone these days.

Meanwhile - Synairgen continues towards the goal. I was explaining the science to someone earlier, it reminded me that I know what I'm doing and I'm proud to be doing it. If I lose the lot, so be it. But this is far from a 50-50 roulette spin now - don't think I've ever studied an investment to this degree before. There are variables we can't control, but life would be pretty boring otherwise.

Covid - even in very mild/asymptomatic cases - seriously weakens the body's immune response to other viruses.
Co-infection is a very serious problem. In theory (and in practice from all the data so far), SNG001 works against Covid, flu, colds and many other respiratory viruses. It is absolutely the game changer. It is still possible that something will go wrong along the way, but nothing has yet. In my view we are changing the world for the better and we also stand to make a lot of money. Those opportunities don't come along very often. In the absence of new information, all we need is a little patience.

We do already have granted patents, the new applications are specific to use with steroids.
Effectively this widens/extends protection to enhance value.

Primarily because the rate of exacerbations in the target population (asthma) was much lower than expected in the P2 trial.
At the time of the trial, we were unable to rapidly identify exacerbations due to viruses, which has now changed, we bought some fancy kit to do this for the COPD trial. They did get useful biomarker data, demonstrated antiviral activity, got useful safety/tolerability data etc.

The stats don't look good, we're definitely back into exponential growth in cases. Obviously testing is far higher than it was first time round so we're not comparing like with like. Hospitalisations still low. I'm not worried about where we are now, it's more where we could be in 6-8 weeks. Vitamin D3 sprays are good, most of us don't get enough in winter anyway.

Everyone loves David Attenborough. He gets his message across on climate and biodiversity at a global scale. He is admired, respected and trusted. Whether or not people share his beliefs/values, they respect his expertise and they trust his motivations. I'd say he is exactly the sort of person we need to get important points across.

OK. Get your camper van, do some prepping and when the **** hits the fan you can go live free in the wilderness. Just bear in mind there will be 20 mile tailbacks of other folks doing the same. We are dependent on each other whether we like it or not.

@Org you're suggesting an alternative that doesn't exist. There is no 'carrying on as normal'.
By having lockdowns, distancing etc, we reduce the numbers getting ill and dying, fear goes down, people agitate to get back to normal.
If we reduce lockdown/distancing measures to get back to normal, we get outbreaks.
If we get outbreaks, a lot more people get ill and some die.
If a lot of people get ill/die, the fear level goes back up, and they don't go about life as normal.
Something of a vicious cycle. Yes, there is a need for balance. Most of all there is a need for trust

@Org - Please provide evidence (not an anecdote) that COVID has got any weaker at any point, I haven't found any.
IMHO mortality has reduced because
1) A lot of the most vulnerable have died
2) Identification and treatment have improved
3) Distancing and masks have reduced viral load for those who do get infected
4) Age profile has changed, currently the young are getting it, but the old will follow
