I guess at least some of these folks are getting their wish, funny how some of them go from berating us as a cult to explaining what a great investment it is within 24 hours :) But maybe I'm just paranoid.

SP is frustrating but not selling anything until there is a good reason to.
It's a bit upsetting to see people having to sell but we're all grownups.

Still have every faith in the company. I intuitively believe this will be successful, and that belief is grounded in solid evidence, reasoning and logic. Nothing is ever certain, but personally I'm about as certain as it's possible to be at this point.

Been talking to people today about a project to divert some of our business ad spend from big tech to sponsoring local businesses. Funnily enough the initial challenge is getting them to trust that we're not trying to rip them off - we're sending out emails offering essentially free money but everyone assumes it's a scam, and we can't really blame them :(

See - case in point. This guy endlessly repeats nonsense about the virus weakening, claims to be invested while consistently arguing against the company, tries to scare people with his anti-science drivel etc. What 'elusive RNS'? We had two in the last few weeks, and our CEO asked for a little bit of patience. Is that really so much to ask?
Which person predicted a fall from £2.40 to £1.60? IIRC a charter suggested £1.60 as fib retracement when we were at £2. Anyone with half a brain knows charts go out the window with events. Anyone who's done the research knows we had to withstand Lansdowne Partners selling when they ran out of money.

I think originally it was about having patients supported by local trained staff, before we moved to online supervision.

Fair point Phil. I've definitely gone a bit mad at times. But there clearly has been both ramping and deramping and some people are clearly not arguing in good faith, you just have to look at post histories. Plus some folks aren't too hot on reason/logic/evidence etc.
Maybe it's a bit idealistic to hope for sensible debate to work towards consensus on an anonymous BB where money is at stake in both directions. I like transparency but I can definitely see the case for well moderated/closed forums.

And just a wee reminder that Parsley makes his money betting on short-term sentiment in stocks, not investing in them.
But at least he's fairly open about it :)

Yesterday was a bit depressing, I had to have a word with myself last night.
The scientific rationale for our drug here has only got stronger as time has gone on and the need for it is sadly increasing.
The idea that we're not making progress because we haven't had any news for two weeks is plainly ridiculous.
It would be nice if we had a higher profile in the media but probably better for the company to stay focused on getting this right than shouting about it.

The prediction was 50k cases per day by 13th October, it would be much worse by the end of October if exponential growth continued unchecked. By taking stronger measures now we ought to be able to avoid that scenario, but of course the idiots will then complain the forecast was wrong.

I agree the FDA have eroded trust. I do feel for them somewhat - it may be that the choice was between obeying the DayGlo Potato and staying in the job or refusing and being replaced by another spineless acolyte.

@Eyepaul I appreciate this is a lot to ask, but would you be prepared to say which MP and quote their exact words re government supporting SNG trial?

He said something along the lines of not being optimistic about therapeutics because of the costs. Like you say, there's been a lot of pumped up bull, Remdesivir is pricey for poor efficacy, monoclonal antibodies maybe very expensive, etc.
Perhaps we should get in touch with him, he's mentioned us before but we haven't really had much news to talk about.
I honestly think he's a really good guy trying to spread the word to get people taking things seriously again.

I'm with Manifesto. Big pharma already have trust issues, the value of being the one with the best treatment (assuming our early results are borne out, and I really think they will be) is transformational.
Pre-covid business logic doesn't apply.
