As stated on 'Business Today' (BBC News Channel, 02:30 BST),according to S&P Global, dated Brent for actual delivery cost $142.37 per barrel. This is significantly MORE than futures prices. Clearly, for future deliverynthere are a group who are hoping or expecting supply issues to ease, by one way or another. Whilst supplies remain urtailed, this is telling me that the likes of BP and Shell are probably making even bigger profits than we suspect or hope. Should be good for the share proce of BP! I hope!

Agreed, but that will tale a long time. For instance, a problem found in the UK is that the infrastructure is not yet ready to collect all the electricity produced by wind and solar alternatives.

Whilst I accept that the price of crude oil will fall when this Iran business ends, the Gulf States remain members of OPEC, so will not pump like crazy to obtain market share. With damage done to oil fields by closing them down, restarting will be slow and awkward.

Yes, the price will fall, but I cannotnsee how it would fall below $60 per barrel in any hurry.
