Yes 'trader' is a very loose term for what it is... punters selling out in the hope that the share price drops and they can buy back in a bit cheaper, peppering message boards with negativity so as to encourage a few extra sells.
We aren't talking professional traders with a strategy and system here.

Some might think I'm being harsh on him but when the chips are down it becomes bloody hard to find support on here with only a few of the old faithful believing that all is not lost - to then have traders lauding it over you when in reality they themselves are clueless is pretty infuriating.

Lewis bought at 195p and continued adding in the 200s, he then sold at 133p shortly after and now it's back above his breakeven price. I mean, he literally bought the top and then sold the bottom two weeks later!

This was Lewis' parting shot last week 'Sold Ncyt bought arb, now in profit.' and 'Enjoy another red day tomorrow.' as well as a few 'see you at £1!' tweets.

Let's take a closer look: Sold NCYT 133p, bought ARB 57p... one week later NCYT 217p, ARB 59p. Well at least he's in profit in Arb!!!

With war looming Polymetal began falling from £12 a share and Blackrock quickly snapped up another 5% of the company (~ average £10) by the 25th February, at a cost of about £250m... a few weeks later the share price is now below £1.40 and Blackrock's recent purchases are now worth about £35m. They've already started dumping them at an 85% loss.

These sell offs go in waves, I'm sure by the end of the week Largo will have clawed it all back.

The law of averages is not a good rule to rely on when investing!

My point is there's nothing more annoying than someone 'holding for gold' and then getting angry at those who took profits if the share price subsequently falls. It's like being angry at the person next to you for taking their roulette winnings because you went on and risked the lot and lost yours.

I'm holding all my shares because I think at some point in the future they will be worth a lot more and I am not able to second guess the short term share price direction - if it drops from here that's a shame but I can't have it both ways.

Oh I see you 'can't' because you 'need' £4... well if you're confident this will tank tomorrow the smart thing would have been to sell and buy back *after* it tanked.

Oh wait none of actually knows what's going to happen, yet some of us like to get our moans in early.

Well that's up to them cipro, if you hold shares you are more than welcome to take profits too, no-one's stopping you.
The risk averse will play it safe and take profits, the rest of us will hope that another TR1 lands whilst momentum is with us and we swiftly see £3.

I'm going to say it one more time.No, not hedging against nuclear war per se... as a trader hedging against a major escalation and heightening of tensions which would almost certainly cause huge market disruption i.e a missile straying across the border seeing as Russia are now attacking Ukraine's border cities.

The heightening threat of nuclear war i.e Russian missiles straying into NATO territory, not full blown nuclear war, obvs.

That makes no sense unless you think he benefits from sharing that he sold down 25%? He doesn't, his holding is still large and he'd be better off personally not posting it but it seems as he shares his buys he also wants to share his sells to maintain credibility.

You don't trust BBN, you don't trust Alfacomp and many others, you don't seem trust the MN or the BMN management... maybe it's you that's the problem, maybe you have some personal trust issues.

Disagree completely @cindercone. He *expects* BMN will go much higher hence leaving BMN as his largest holding (after shaving 25% off) and then shortly after that tweet followed it up by talking up the FeV rises, so is certainly not switching to deramping.

In other words he believes in BMN enough to keep it his largest holding but hedging slightly against worsening external factors (i.e nuclear war, China actively supporting Russia, risks to demand for vanadium in China due to covid lockdowns )

Where have you appeared from? So far 'profit takers' are being outmatched by buyers. Hopefully it continues.

Thanks DRB, think that post went right over his head, I mean I literally was pointing out how I dug in and defended the company and stressed the value on offer when the share price had dropped to rock bottom, to the 130s - the opposite of the type of ramper that 'only appears when the price is appreciating'

What one has to remember is covid is no longer priced in here so any sign that covid testing as a revenue stream will continue is very good upside for the share price - a clear sign that it may still be a substantial revenue stream and this rerates.

My number one rule for investing in an AIM company - invest in the management. If you don't believe in them I would consider looking elsewhere as there's many, many companies to choose from.

Personally I'm very confident in FM and MN to deliver despite previous disappointments.

Of course you can GT and I will continue to remind everyone of your tactic of only appearing when there's anger on here and a feeling of hopelessness so as to sow more discontent. Last week with the share price dwindling in the 130s I tried to fight my corner whilst you called me deluded so I will repost just to remind everyone now things are looking a tad more positive once again. The company was valued for more than its cash balance pre covid! That was whilst having debt that was slowly becoming difficult to service.

I don’t think any sensible person truly believes the company is in a worse position to grow than it was pre covid, in this for-ever changed diagnostics landscape, with the brand recognition they now have, with the partnerships they have built.

You can go with the narrative of Globetrotter that literally they have zero idea of what to do, that they are scratching their heads and crossing their fingers covid comes raging back or you can recognise that we’ve already been severely punished for the lack of communication and that has presented an opportunity to those that can see that and have spare funds.

Whilst I get criticised for calling this wrong previously you can be damn sure if this turns around none of those calling for £1 or claiming novacyt has no future will be anywhere to be seen…

It's hard not to feel mightily sorry for all the argo holders here - most trolls have a superficial knowledge of a company and eventually get bored and disappear after a little while but you've been plagued with a very rare type, one that is well-researched, knowledgeable and worst of all dedicated and relentless!

And yet you can be damn sure Kaeren in a few days the share price will drop a tad and panic will ensue and posters like Globetrotter and Lewis and Aldebaran will be back to tell us £1 is imminent and biosynex have stopped buying and DA is a clueless uneducated simpleton so out of his depth that he would be unable to run a corner shop let alone a wannabe midcap company!

If the UK and Europe are really going to pivot away from Russian oil and gas and become energy self-sufficient through renewables then they are going to HAVE to accept big battery farms the length and breadth of their territories... and if they truly concerned by the threats that the big lithium batteries pose then they will have to embrace alternatives and quickly and right now vrfbs are the one and only realistic alternative.
