Well if we had more institutional investment it would be a lot more difficult to manipulate the share price. Fortune spoke about this last year and it is really the job of management to get them onside... perhaps another solid operational quarter and the long awaited BE update will be enough for IIs on the sidelines to start buying in.

There's nothing shady whatsoever, it's simply a realisation that the BTC mining business model isn't fit for purpose. Too much capex is needed just to tread water and an unfathomable amount is needed to get ahead of competitors.

As a leveraged play on bitcoin Argo will become attractive again if either BTC tanks or BTC rallies... and which way is tough to call so for me I'd rather sit on the sidelines and wait and see - if BTC rallies there still should be time to catch some of the rise here, if BTC tanks the risk/reward at ~40p will be too good not to take up.

Alternatively PW could give a bit more detail of what being a 'digital asset company' rather than a bitcoin mining company means in reality. I know 10% of bitcoin HOLD is supposed to be moving into Argo Labs but I'm none of the wiser of how big this non mining side of the business is expected to be in 1, 3, 5 years

In other words they could be planning a hostile takeover in the knowledge that they’ll still hold say 10% of the company shares at a much higher price if unsuccessful and may then look to see if a merger is a possibility. Might be way off the mark but just musing here and would explain why they are doing what they are doing (leaving the likes of you and me bemused as to what they are doing which helps put traders off and keeps the share price falling back each time)

You’ve got to remember that biosynex is a similar sized company to us so maybe their plan isn’t set in stone yet, after all if the shares suddenly rerate they will be priced out anyway…

Maybe their aim is to accumulate as much as possible as low as possible and then attempt a takeover. If it’s too low and rejected the share price will still rise significantly and they’ll be up tens of millions (big money for a small outfit) and if they are successful then even better.

So you believe biosynex bought up 1% of the company between the 14th Feb and 7th March and then an additional 0.54% on that same say, the 7th March? Come on it's highly unlikely, they will have eaten up most of the volume, at the lowest share price since the pandemic, well below cash level and still the share price fell 3%?

There's every chance they've crossed the 6% threshold and are still buying and will TR1 when it suits them.

Well I'm not convinced they are playing by the rules. According to the TR1s biosynex crossed the 4% threshold on the 14th Feb and then we were informed that as of the 7th March Biosynex were holding 5.54%. Are you telling me they crossed 5% on the 7th and then accumulated another 370k shares that same day? Nah it's not possible, volume for that day was just 415000 (and I bought a few of them!). They will have crossed the 5% threshold a good few days before then but we weren't informed of that, they chose that day +3 to notify the company.

My guess is they've crossed the next threshold already but instead we'll get a TR1 at some point saying as of "" biosynex hold (say) 6.8%

For now 'covid is done' in the West is not too far off the mark in regards to how it is viewed and therefore the testing that will go on alongside. You are all speculating that the director purchase is the reason for no rns today, we don't actually know that.

If the company think the physical launch of co prep isn't material enough to warrant an RNS then it isn't material enough to warrant an rns - a big order of co-prep however, now that would be material and a very real possibility in the near future...

My opinion is that it's something in between. I don't think good news is being intentionally suppressed but equally they certainly aren't particularly fussed about grabbing hold of the momentum they have and driving the share price much higher in the short term.

The cynic in me wonders if this sort of back-to-back rns communication tactic will be used at more opportune times, perhaps in the run up to the AGM...

So what if Karaen is disappointed? David has been hired to run the company, inevitably some won’t approve of his management style and others will. I like the way the ducks appear to be lining up in the background and will , for the time being, continue to hold and allow David to go about communicating progress as he and the board see fit.

I’m sure at this stage they are fully aware of all of our complaints and if they agree with them changes with be implemented in time.

It's so refreshing to see all the negative folk on here go silent essentially giving the floor to HillSeeker to promote novacyt and the investment case in such an eloquent, compelling and charming way.

We've seen numerous 'double pops' in the recent history with novacyt... albeit with nothing to follow them up.

You should remember CaptainSwag that James has the potential to make a minimum of £1.76m in a few years if the top end of the LTIP is met so I wouldn't go as far as to say he won't be contributing to share price management.

This news excited me less than the biosynex activity but all the same it's good news and let's hope for of the same the rest of the week - it's worth remembering that most AIM companies have the opposite problem, directors cashing out instead of increasing their skin in the game.

Whilst directors obviously want to make money director purchases are also a signal to the market that the board considers the share price undervalued - at £1.30 every man and his dog knew it was stupidly undervalued so would have been less meaningful but to go and buy them 60% higher is a positive sign that signals that James considers this worth a lot more still...

Perhaps it's an attempt to push the share price a little out of biosynex's reach too? Let's see if there's more buys this week...

$15 is the vastly discounted IPO price right? New ATL just hit on the nasdaq, it does seem pretty harsh...

Considering the profitability levels at $39k BTC this is looking great value again, it's just knowing the entry I would get if BTC starts to slide that's keeping me from loading up!

My theory has always been even if we're not in a closed period David and the board may be wary of looking like they are benefitting from such a low share price, i.e sink the share price then all start loading up.

James, however, with his sky high average we can forgive him buying!

I have been doing exactly that Alfa and buying as many shares as I can on drops for the past year, sadly I have not been able to acquire 13 million myself though!
