It's a little misleading to suggest Medvedchek went from house arrest to becoming a prisoner of war... after fleeing his home at the outbreak of the invasion he spent 48 days in hiding before cynically donning army gear in an attempt to pass off as a Ukraine soldier to escape to Russia.

All those stocks you listed have unique circumstances rather than being all simply overhyped. CBX was part of the cannabis hype back in early 2021 (remember that period ???). Kanabo had just risen something like 500% post IPO and then CBX got ramped to death pre IPO a few weeks later. I never participate in IPOs but did for that one and took a massive gamble applying for £40ks worth - IPO price was 5p and it went to 26p within a few hours before slowly bleeding to death (and is now less than 3p). Did it make me rich?! No everyone got capped and of my £40k I only got about £800!

SNG was right place right time in 2020 but failed to get their phase 3 away quick enough pre mass vaccination which stalled progress and eventually played a part in them failing to meet their key primary end points - that could have been a billion pound company if things had played out differently.

Whilst Argo was certainly overhyped one could make a case for Argo at around £2 / £700m market cap at the time. Argo was mining around 120 BTC a month with talk of rapid expansion and BTC going to $100k - we're talking potential of $20m revenue a month being forecasted back then. Since a lot has changed and the whole business model seems in doubt / the grand idea of these companies becoming digital asset companies with bitcoin mining as a side business hasn't exactly materialised as far as I'm aware?

Argo is still commanding a p/e of about 10 which is reasonable in the circumstances but bitcoin mining is certainly not being viewed as a growth industry currently. Is that likely to change or are you simply hoping for marginal share price growth in line with increasing profits?

It is certainly possible to produce an educated estimate based on the quarterly updates through 2021...

I agree Pdub - let's be real here, if $55 Europe FeV, China $50 and US more like $65 (or even $70 according to Fast Markets) is the bottom of the retrace, is the pullback, then V prices are going much higher soon.

Early to mid this week was exactly when I expected a bit of interest and buying pressure to start to build in the run up to the results and strategy update in ~ 2 weeks - let's hope this little uptick is the start of that.

ValJu I think you know the answer to that. It's one thing writing with assuredness in your own opinion it's another really believing it. Byp you spoke very confidently previously about trading ncyt going forward and making back your money that way but all we've seen so far of your trading is selling some of your holding in mid February at 208p (if i remember correctly). It did end up falling after that around the outbreak of the Ukraine war but I don't remember you sharing that you'd bought back to take advantage of the fall - did I miss that out of interest?

BYP you are being ignorant here. No one is suggesting that a director purchase guarantees future success / share price appreciation but what it does suggest is confidence from senior management about the future. You are using this one example to basically disregard the use of PDMRs as a buy/sell signal as a rule? That's ridiculous. These occurred in a fast moving situation in the midst of a pandemic following a contract with the argument potentially worth as much as half a billion pounds. What happened after is simple an example of the risks on AIM that even management couldn't foresee (or incompetence potentially).

We are in a very different situation now with a CEO that's given himself the luxury of almost half a year to get to know the business and to build a strategy and so I see it as a positive that just before revealing his hand and beginning to share that strategy with the market he chooses to buy £100ks worth of shares.

Again, no it doesn't guarantee success but I'm sure it increases the chances, after all if other directors were dumping their shares we'd certainly conclude that it was a big fat negative.

I think what's irked many on here Sang is firstly the need to announce that you had significantly reduced your holding and then almost instantaneously voicing all your concerns and issues. There's a feeling and sense that you would never have gone full throttle like this if you were still 100% invested. You could have just sold some and carried on as normal?

Besides that it's good to see issues being debated and makes for much better reading than a one-sided ramp fest.

It is far too early in novacyt's post pandemic transition to predict with any accuracy what sort of revenues and profits they will eventually be making year on year so it comes down to the vision of the new CEO and whether or not he is able to get the market excited again. If he can it will be possible to trade at around 30 times 2022 guidance (~£15m profit, £450m mcap) but if he can't and the vision and strategy is uninspiring we probably won't trade much above cash/where we are now for the foreseeable.

It's a bit of a stretch to say Mandy lied because she said 'no news is good news' before announcing revenue of £277m with a gross margin above 80%.

Yes Johnny it's fairly standard procedure to give some information on the post-results period i.e Jan 1st to end of April. At the very least we will likely be informed of the 2022 revenue up until the week beginning April 25th as well as an updated cash figure.

B2HS2L I think January's revenue was the highest monthly figure biosynex has ever achieved, $67m, so I'm just going off that. Mainly from covid too... Granted Feb and then March were much lower.
