This news is great for two reasons - (i) the obvious - business activity, action, evidence of the work going on behind the scenes and a natural fit for the company but (ii) it puts to bed the claims by some that the cash is tied up because of the DHSC dispute.

If anything (ii) is a bigger deal than (i) .

For weeks now all I've seen on here is green boxes, presumingly the two accounts I have filtered chatting away to each other enjoying the trickle down in the share price.

Strangely, for whatever reason, there aren't any green boxes today.

I've spent the past year banging on about the opportunities that will come their way with this cash and in this environment. Sure they are paying well above current market price but Yourgene was valued £100m+ not too long ago so I see this as a good deal for both and a wake up call to the market that a company valued at £25m can make a £16.7m acquisition with a fraction of their cash reserves.

Exactly, whilst AVA6000 gets all the attention currently and rightfully so there's so many shots on goal before we even get to the DX division... as far as I'm aware it's quite unheard of for a small cap pharma on AIM to have as much going on as Avacta does.

How long is a piece of string? Even at $1750 for the rest of the year Shanta returns to profitability and if, as many analysts expect, gold hits new highs before 2023 is out then profits are off the scale… and so is the risk/reward from here.

No it’s very simple CC - you spend plenty of time on here ridiculing investors for not selling the top, for watching it slide all the way down (even though many of us have much lower averages) whilst on a few occasions promoting the stock you’re invested in and pointing out the difference in share piece action.

We are all simply enjoying the same thing happening to you after your bluster.

No that's not the question - they owned 7.14% of the company and have already dumped the vast majority, even if they were to sell the small percentage they have remaining there should be enough buying pressure to counter it now the market knows they have no firepower left.

Only a little different to my own workings SF. Mine came to about $41.25/kgV for Q1 with Q2 looking more like $36.5/kgV which would average out under $39/kgV although obviously I'm just using the same percentages sold to the US, Europe and assuming ROW prices are akin to China... and that wouldn't include any Nitrovan premium.

Realistically if production guidance is met we will see costs come in well under guidance given the exchange rate through 2023 and so still giving healthy margins if we end up seeing V prices around that level ^^^ for the rest of the year.

Well none of the price moves have been reflected in the accounts because the price soared at the turn of the year into late April and we won't see what that's done to the balance sheet until September in the interims.

Only really significant price moves, sans financial results, move the market and we haven't seen that so far in 2023... it looked like it in Q1 but the big V price rally did fizzle out.

I hope you're genuine enough to turn up next week on this bb no matter what the next update reveals. We know you'll be on here crowing if it's less positive than all of us holders expect but I strongly suspect you'll disappear in silence if it's not.
