Gone from about 9.4 million shares to 13 million since MSTR adopted the bitcoin protocol so about 40% increase in shares outstanding.

MSTR had just $94m cash/cash equivalents as of March 31st and yet spent $347m on bitcoin this week. Looking at the shares in issue it appears they issued around 1.15m shares recently at likely an average price of just under $300 a share giving around $345m... which very much adds up.

It's an interesting tactic but shareholders are going to get frustrated if bitcoin doesn't now go on a bull run soon.

We’re still very early days on the stationary storage / mini grid / vrfb front but it’s amazing how quickly things are suddenly moving now (just look at the difference in Invinity - 2022 £3.6m revs, 2023 expected £22m. And what with the proof of concept hybrid mini grid and the sudden rush to renewables in S.Africa I wouldn’t rule out that market developing quickly either.

Will take a good few years til they’re supplying 8 million litres / 200MWh but I suspect it’ll be a helpful secondary revenue stream from Invinity and Cellcube alone from 2024 onwards.

Absolutely no one knows because Craig hasn’t even started in his role yet but my guess is no, that’s unlikely. All we’ve heard from him so far has been related to mining and if anything the immediate impression would be the polar opposite - that he has little interest in the other parts of the business and (possibly) might be willing to let them go if funding requirements were necessary elsewhere.

There’s quite clearly no immediate need for cash as BMN finished the year on $10.9m and with V prices so healthy right through from there until about late April the current cash position should certainly be a fair bit higher than what we started the year on.

Q2 will give us a bit more information into the finances but we’ll have to wait that little bit longer to the interims in September to get a complete picture - not too long to wait for that either.

The last quarterly update came very soon after the end of the quarter, on the 4th April. Seeing as I’m sure Shishir will be wanting to shout these results from the rooftops I suspect we won’t be waiting all that long into July.

BELCO should have low operating costs and will be simply using the vanadium mined and produced by BMN.

Cellcube is only a minority interest investment - funds will be prioritised towards mining although if the price of V plays ball BMN will have the cash (and ability to raise far, far more money) to strengthen their VI model rather than focus on mining.

I believe V is going to enter a deficit over the next 6-18 months that drives up its price and significantly derisks this investment and gives BMN the firepower to establish themselves right across the vanadium supply chain. Time will tell.

There was a lot more going on in 2020/2021 and hence there were a lot more updates, now the management are simply battening down the hatches in order to survive, albeit helped enormously by this significant rise in bitcoin of late.

From what I remember you bought BMN shares after the refinancing rns (must have been just under 4p) but quickly sold them and I think you boasted about Casp having gone up since whilst Bushveld languished. That must have been around the fifth of May so when Casp was what, 6.3p? Since Casp has fallen more than 35% and BMN around the same?

Pdub it was just a comment to reel you in, obviously it's total bollo***. We know of a few posters on here like TrevorBrooking that admitted holding all the way from the 30s and only just selling around 3.3p for a 90% loss but the vast majority will have crystallised smaller losses or be merely seeing paper losses that they can afford to lose if the worst was to happen.

It is extremely tricky to make successful calls on AIM - if you look at the likes of Myles McNulty and other prominent investors their track record is very mixed, a handful of big winners but a majority of losers. It is what it is, a bit of a casino and all you can do is build your own investment case and hope that you get a bit of luck along the way (which absolutely every small cap requires). And if someone goes all in based on nothing but these forums then they are asking for trouble.

Good post Pdub. Looking forward to Q2 and hoping as you have stated to see that 400mtV-450mtV achieved at Vanchem but even more promisingly it appears we're getting closer to the 2500mtV+ level. We were informed previously that ore issues and power supply issues were holding Vanchem back and now we know that load shedding is not currently have any impact on operations (largely due to new municipality agreement) and there appears to be progress made in sorting out the supply of suitable ore. Additionally Fortune said in a recent interview that Vanchem should reach that run rate before 2023 is out... yes he's said that previously but now they've been faced with the issues directly and know what they are up against so I consider the most recent comments as significant.

Still optimistic that there's a turnaround to be had in 2023.

That's intentionally deceptive and misleading and you know it. We do not know the current cash burn rate but using 2022s number is totally irrelevant in a company going through such growth and one that's preparing to fulfil a £700m-£800m contract.

There was a general feeling that the joint interview with Craig and Fortune might settle a few nerves and stem the panic selling. It's always positive to see a transition like this happen smoothly and behind closed doors (rather than be left with a CEO void and all the uncertainty that comes with that) and it's especially good that there is no animosity between the two men and that Fortune is staying on in some capacity or other.

V rising across numerous markets will also help too.
