Maybe a time to discuss and think about what to expect and hope for with the current trading update (Tuesday).
There are two ways to look at it. Compare the Jan to June numbers to what they turned over in the same period last year, this will be considerably lower I’m sure. Or compare it to what they turned over in the 6 months previous (£1.7 million). For me, if the next 6 months show an improvement on the last, then it means the company is going in the right direction and I will be happy with that.
There will be cash burn (I’m sure the trolls will jump all over that) but this is going into new products which are due to be in production before the end of the year so, for me again, as long as this is not alarming its ok with me.
Vatic TT and pre order numbers. I’m fairly confident that the pre orders even in low numbers will bring in a large chunk if not surpass the previous 6 months TO. However what Vatic bring is a lot of hope…but more than just hope. The TT is the difficult part, once done ABDX can up, or down scale as required. At any moment, on any day Vatic could strike a deal with a big supplier, government, organisation, NHS etc for e.g 5 million tests and the next day ABDX can be ramping up that order. I feel, it’s a matter of time before that test with all its plus points brings in some significant orders.
Covid is here to stay, there are 16,000 people in hospital with it at the moment. The last 2 years have caused a massive backlog in all other care as a result and its always going to be a massive uphill battle to tackle that while you have so many beds taken up with covid, and a large percentage of your doctors and nurses are giving people vaccinees.
We need a lot more Doctors and nurses.
A small army of people constantly vaccinating people.
And /or ways to only vaccinate people that need one and do more to stop people getting covid in the first place therefore keeping them out of hospital with it.
Testing is the only way to keep a lid of Covid and the costs to the public purse and society.
I do also thing Covid has made the average person more hypochondriacy. Don’t feel right, is it covid, is it flu, is it something else? I am a true believer this is the start of common practise for many to head to the internet, buy some tests and find out. I’m sure this will get government encouragement as that’s 50% of the GP waiting room no longer there.
