I just came across this, interesting..... "access to Antidoby tests", will the US lead the way for others to follow?

The Biden administration had requested $22.5 billion in immediate emergency funds to curb the COVID-19 pandemic in late March.

The White House had warned in a statement at the time that dwindling funds had led to setbacks in purchasing future vaccines and treatments for COVID-19, reimbursements for treatment of the uninsured, and access to antibody tests.

Personally I just keep my eyes on the big picture.
Expansion complete, ABDX can make upto 150 million tests a year. Growing sector so I have every confidence this will get filled in time.
Either making their own in-house designd tests, clients tests or taking on outsourced production form other firms and combinations of.
When it gets filled is anyone's guess. It may take a few years or it could all happen in a few months. When it is filled though ABDX will be making profit in the 10's of millions maybe even over 100 million per year.
This is also when we will get a SP in the £'s.
As investors It is indeed just patience that is needed.

ABDX business modal is a good one.
Get clients and help develop new tests for them. This work is reimbursable, meaning you pay your development staff 'X' per hour and charge your client the X + %more (in my firm the % more is usually between 150 to 200%) so this work is profitable (sometimes very) for ABDX. Two new contracts Deepverge and Vatic (new tests) in this area.
ABDX also make profit on Manufacturing. This team are currently busy making the 600k ish pre-order Vatic knownow tests + whatever new order Vatic get.
ABDX now also make money by retail sales online...not sure how much but all = money.
The Avacta tests although not used would have still need to have been paid for, this invoice would have only been received this year so not accouted for yet.
Plus the other tests (agricultural ect) revenue they have regularly received for years.
Basically I think the accounts will be fine.

Before summer, is before the 21st June which is 6 weeks away...sounds better to me.
The case is now over. Yes no ruling but case concluded. If the DHSC made payment now it could not mean anything to the Judge, they need to rule on what case was brought before them in the court.
I will not hold my breath but payment could still come before the ruling.
One thing for sure, we now have a better chance of getting it than we did last week and before.

Just a little side conversation while we wait.
Out of curiosity, when you buy shares do you decide im going to buy X amount in £’s e.g £3000 worth and see how many shares that’s gets you. Or do you think in number of shares and see how much it will cost you e.g I’m going to get 10,000 shares?
I always (and I would have thought like most?) think in £’s
I ask because, for me there is a surprising amount of nicely rounded off trades that go through very regularly. Ok only 2 so far today but everyday we get many trades of exactly 10,000 shares brought/sold. Or other perfectly rounded numbers but 10,000 most common.
Maybe on the selling front I would think in shares (percentage of my holding) but not in the buying.
Are these nicely rounded trades MM’s filling larger orders slowly and under the radar I wonder….Or am I just way over thinking it?

Yes, it's a good point that we should keep our feet on the ground about the court case ruling.
Its bought a bit of excitement and something for us to talk about but its not ABDX that are in court.
Im still very confident that the goverment will win but win or lose none of it really matters, just the goverment paying ABDX does.
Basically the best part of it all is the case being over and all parties can then move on.
Win, lose of draw the goverment will no longer have any excuses to not pay their bill.

BTW, word of warning.
If the courts judgement is today the first we will probably hear of it will be via the GLP. They have a lot of previous with claiming victory when they have in fact lost the case.
The judge will probably recognise that full protocols were not followed but...
GLP will not mention the 'but' part so we get their sensationalised headlines "court confirms goverment did not follow the law".

I would advise you all make sure you get the full story from an independent news provider before making any decisions.

Over a trillion pounds goes into the UK treasury each year. £8 million is a lot to you, I and ABDX but chicken feed to the goverment.
Got a feeling they would much rather pay out our (UK tax payers) not their, money and keep their jobs and reputations than the other way around.

Sneaky MM's love this, us normal people trying to guess if the big orders were a buy or a sell. They always play whatever tricks they can to fill their big orders without the general market knowing what they are up to.
General rule would say you don't get a single tade sell that nearly matches the entire day's trade and the SP goes UP 14%....makes me think it must be a buy that the MM's have delay executed to look selly.

Looks like we should be in for an intresting, hopefully exciting and what looks like a good day tomorrow. Bring it on!

New Covid wave starting in SA and the USA. Its a taste for what's coming for the rest of the world also.
Should put some pressure on the FDA to speed up their EUA's so hopefully Vatic will get theirs soon.

I exspect we are not hearing much about the case today as the counter argument is being heard, I.e its the goverments lawyer turn to talk.
This is where we have a very uneven playing field. GLP can post what they want and naturally give a one sided viewpoint completely in their favour. They are never going to say how today all our accusations got poopooed and put to bed. This in turn means we don't get newspaper articles tomorrow explains how the stuff written the day before is a load of rubbish.
The goverment can't really say much and certainly not while the case is in prprogress. We could say maybe ABDX could but I can understand why they are not. They are using Twitter to find potential business so will not want to draw attention to a court case involving them.
We will not know the full story until after the case and an RNS. This should be on Friday but maybe not the RNS until Monday.

Just the GLP massively hyping and trying their best to sexup not very much at all.
After trailing through thousands of emails they found 2 or 3 where a civil servant was backside covering and suggested taking a different approach.
You could find this with any goverment decision EVER made.

Let's be clear. Fit for purpose means the Goverments original purpose for them which was if you have antibodies you are protected so you can get a freedom pass. They later discovered that antibodies don't necessarily keep you protected so the goverment could not use them for this purpose. The AbC-19 test were/are good and met the requirements set out by the government.
Science is still working on what level of Antibodies are required to be protected and have nearly cracked that key I.e. it's a test that now has much more use (purpose) than it did back then.

Posting a message to say they will be in court is not a sign of confidence.

This was a big part of the case involving ABDX which they can no longer use. They basically no longer have a case, just that the ABDX contract was not put out for others to tender.
Well, thousands of people were dieing every week and all hospitals were full and the economy at a standstill. Sorry judge, with this in mind we pulled the countries leading firms in LDF design and manufacture together to develop a test that we thought could stop this nightmare that we were all in. Sorry we didn't waste several weeks/months letting all other firms know and maybe putting a proposal in for us then validate and discuss all while another few thousand people die.
As was found with the PPE contracts, even if they did waste this time the likelyhood that this countries leading LFT firm winning the contract was almost certain anyway so its immaterial.
The goverment have a clear and obvious argument to make and I can't see any judge saying after consideration of the time this all happened that unlawful actions took place.
No case GLP will lose I'm 100% sure on my head be it!
