Buffett can buy VOD easily but he prefers ketchup and cream cheese! Facebook can buy VOD to enhance their personal data mining activities.

Conn always buy shares after his depressing results, is he doing it on purpose just to load up shares and one day buy as low as 10p? I guess we should all top up here too since the boss has bought more to reaffirm his confidence in his strategy.

I believe the books were so bad that McC would have backed out anyway. Darby couldn’t take the fall so he blocks a sweet deal to save the company from SFO / FCA investigations and loss of access to the bond market. I hope it is fixable, DCG got a nice offer which is encouraging!

Where did you read any notice / intention of Spirit Energy IPO? CNA owns 69% so the BOD would decide whether to distribute the proceeds to shareholders or pay down debt / invest in the business. I still don’t think Spirit Energy would get listed, a generous offer from BP would be a great contribution by Conn.

VOD will end up buying / merging with TIM, Elliot is pulling the strings........the problem is the socio-commy guys at the European Commission.
Our dream scenario would be for Buffett to splash his stash on VOD.

DT needs to buy BT if VOD / Liberty deal gets cleared by E.U. It would be dumb to watch VOD dominate them in Europe even though VOD’s performance and BS is weaker. E.U telecoms sector needs M&A in order to cut cost and pay down their huge pile of debt. The current competition is stupid, imagine the U.S.A having the amount of E.U telecom companies.

CNA working hard to slam the SP, we got the bad news already back when they released TU. Why the double gloom, just get on with cost cutting. The con guy has stopped hyping hive, hope the losses ain’t greater than revenue.
I expected a combative CEO with a clear strategy to improve SP.

KHC plunging 25% today is scary, thought it was a safe stock. CNA plunged 12% yesterday even though most of the bad news had been priced in already. BAE got slammed for no concrete reason........VOD still a good buy for pensioners.

That keeps the excessive salary bonanza going for another five years! Most of execs pay need to be reduced by 60% to reflect the SP performance.

Gas would still be used to generate electricity but I support the move to stop connecting new homes to gas grid.

SSE hasn’t plunged as much as CNA so I don’t know why you think SSE is worse.

Centrica supplies electricity as well as gas, it produces gas via spirit energy and trades gas / electricity too. Centrica is working with companies to supply them reasonable charging solutions. Check Centrica website......it is more than British Gas.

Better bet would have been NG if you wanted a solid divi paying utility company. CNA was attractive because it was diversified into E&P, gas storage, energy trading, plumbing services and power generation. Ian conn has done a terrible job and should be sacked and replaced with a connected guy that can find a private equity to buy us out.

Ofgem is our number 2 enemy after Conn. just look at RMG chart then you can have some hope. I still think CNA and others should be lobbying the government heavily about reducing / scrapping green levies and the price cap in return for a new lower tariffs for those poor people that keep complaining. How can those rich folks in Chelsea be paying same as poor folks!

Go and look at RIO, BHP, GLEN, AAL charts before given up, hedgefunds are in the game to wipe us out not each other. We private investors are the main game in town......CNA has growth potentials......electric car charging / spirit energy performance will improve / Ofgem is backing off slowly / £27b in revenue is not a joke and another big company could easily pay £11.5b in order to increase its revenue.

Imagine if VOD listened in to our calls, read all our messages then sold the data to the highest bidders like FB! VOD’s revenue is a joke.......they should be turning over €100 billion if they sold targeted ads and customer data.

AAL went below 300p for no reason (guess they thought the world doesn’t need metals anymore) but jumped so much that most private investors got out early then it kept climbing..........so VOD could well dive down to 80p if the hedgefunds find it hard to shake out private investors at these levels.
