Just a wishful thinking but the Conn ceo is hopeless.......the guy forgets that he needs to increase customer numbers even if it means discounted prices. The city is happy for reduced profit but won’t buy a company shedding its customers.

Divi cut means less debt and could lead to Conn losing his job as pension funds increase pressure on him to resign. We need a Shell or Total exec to run CNA as those two companies are looking to diversify.

Most of the guys sitting on our board are not focused on making itv a global / European company. Narrow minded old folks only worried about their pension and holidays.

0.49% in VOD is 130 million shares, so many hedgefunds could be shorting this without raising any flags. £110 million / 85p profit (after the div) from high of last year......not bad.

I think Huawei is not playing ball, the guys running the company must offer huge stake to big U.S funds to quiet the paranoid U.S government attacks. The U.S.A are the spymasters, huawei is a small fry.

She is one crazy lady, keeps blocking mergers and suffocating big businesses. The Siemens/ Alstom merger was blocked despite support from Germany and France. Liberty deal could be blocked if this woman is not gone by then.

Divi cut is what we need plus Ofgem backing down. The only current problem is our nuclear stake may be worthless if Chinese companies are blocked.

Only an insider would short VOD, quality of collateral and high divi to pay makes it an expensive exercise. VOD SP would jump if divi was cut so not a reason for shorting.

So much great stuff by ITV but revenue is a joke, netflix will start taking advert money soon then itv will have huge problems. Imagine free Netflix (ad-funded), ad money will disappear

This is a shocking performance by VOD, i will be buying ETFs from now on......no more single shares. All my ETFs have recovered or close to breakeven but this dog is still more than 20% down after averaging down.

Jansen would do the right thing, most folks here seem happy with BT’s current way but I think the company can do much better in their core offerings. Anyone here knows how much we’ve spent on TV / sports and how much revenue / profit that has brought in? Simply bundling discounted nowtv sport / netflix or prime video passes would have been cheaper and more effective.
The broadband network should have been upgraded even before ofcom interference as virgin was laying faster connection.

It’s 2019 and I believe broadband should be on par with electricity. It is not a choice but necessity that must be constant. The whole network is badly managed and BT has no control on the quality of work that its engineers carry out. I hope the new CEO can streamline this by selling OR to a J.V (national grid + pension fund) who only need 4% return a year.
