What if we get that divi cut and profit warning? This early move is so deep that one would think divi cut is 100% certainty. The market thinks VOD will struggle to get favourable rates when new bonds are issued.
How many traders has VOD made bankrupt? Tempting share with so much defensive credentials........damn you VOD!

Smartest move ever, he abandoned ITV too but I thought housebuilders were riskier as they sell dodgy houses and gangster type leaseholds on houses. Despite all the brexit uncertainty, housebuilders have rallied 40% from December low while we in Telecoms are still testing new lows.
I guess VOD will rally once TomE rotates.

No more moaning, just lounging, reading books, doing diy and waiting for the holy grail of divi to land. £1 million purchase here brings in £80,000 a year.......not bad. The divi alone if maintained for ten years will return 80% of capital.

Sir Gavin is on holiday and he’s got loads of job offers to choose from.

Depends how you calculate it, basic eps was 3.3p so PE is 38 but the adjusted EPS was 11.2p which works out as PE of 12. Can we trust the CEO? Can the divi be maintained? Can we improve performance and grow profit while deleveraging?
Not sure but I’m hopeful of a takeover as the company needs better management and deep pocket owners who won’t take divi and can restructure to lower finance costs.

Like I said in my post, I would do the same if I was a market maker. VOD needs to improve the balance sheet if impressive revenue / profit growth will take longer to achieve.

India has been a disaster just as with S.A and other EMs, their currency is weak along with high poverty levels. IoT could improve revenue gradually but no Big Bang. Data mining and advertisement is where the money is......about time we partner with Facebook to help us do the dirty work.

I’ve got CNA, BT, VOD and ITV.......all in deep holes. I shunned LLOY, TW and LGEN for these dogs. I am a dead man stuck to a laptop. My ETFs are much better..........no more single shares for me, the MMs are naked shorting these shares. They know the company CEOs, they see their results earlier and are super cozy with the big fund holders / pension funds.

Best to ignore broker notes as they mean nothing to retail traders / holders.

Spreadbets and CFDs are structured and created by the big firms, do you think they wanted us to win. After the ESMA directive went into force.......80% retail traders lose money! I am sure most of the 20% winners work for the big firms. Paying daily holding fee or quarterly rollover fee do add up. If spreadbets and CFDs were banned, U.K shares might perform as well as the U.S market.

Ocado is all hype but I think M&S is about to enter the game when it’s already almost over. This J.V will lose money for at least 5 years.........it will only increase revenue but will chew on the skinny profit. Great deal for Ocado to keep their scheme going.

Perfect buy for pensioners but not for young people who need double digit returns including capital growth. My love for VOD is waning.................but I’m stuck with this dog. 120p is my next target, topping up here makes no sense since we’ve just made a new low and the week looks perilous.

ITV can’t make money by partnering with BBC who are publicly funded. I can’t believe that a company like itv can’t find a better European / American partner. Small thinking is killing us just as small thinking drove those people to vote for brexit.

MMs are turning the screw..........this is a joke but good opportunity for fresh buyers and those who can afford to top up.

U.K stocks are a shorters dream, just short them all. One would think American stocks are ripe for shorting but nope, U.K stocks are just easy......naked shorting is definitely in play here and only the bravest retail traders will ever make real money here. Most jump out at break even.

MMs like Goldman must make money everyday and would say anything to knock retail holders.

Just like intu, cut divi and the MMs will punish the SP........only increased revenue and cash profit can help us. We need to issue more bonds / debts soon so good performance is needed for lower rates.
