Very dodgy and bold move by VOD, they are helping bondholders while screwing weak shareholders. Anybody who got wiped out on Friday of before was played! JPM must have known how weak the retail holdings were and boy they went for it.........bloody *&#£*£(£)@)(#)#)@)@‘ls

All planned to screw retail traders, the rich folks are so greedy........this is plain manipulation by VOD, it’s bondholders and broker (JPM). 800 million buy order was known since last year and VOD valued itself below 150p, while JPM needed to make more money on top of the commissions. VOD could have been putting out all the negative news out just to encourage retail holders to sell.

Can VOD become a hot stock one day and stop being an old school value trap. We need new sets of KPIs for tech loving investors.

Direct advertisement must be done by telecoms.........they can offer people a cheaper contract which allows VOD to use customer data and display ads, a Vodafone Fintech (mobile bank / payment processing) would be great for hype.

NR is not going to overwork himself so he’s going to take his huge salary and spend it nicely instead of worrying about the SP like us.

The board is expecting this to be worth 40p, I hope they’re right.........the old CEO has questions to answer. Dodgy guys wanted to bankrupt the company.

Please forget about takeover of any major EU telecoms until the socialists at the European Commission change. The liberty deal should have been cleared since if the regulators were market friendly. The market is punishing telecoms for borrowing too much money while promising revenue & profit growth.
We need a genuine takeover by a cash rich company, more debt will choke the company!

That huge volume was still less than 1% of total shares in issue......divide that volume into 2 since they count both buys and sell separately so technically a lot lower than 0.5% of total shares in issue.

Those pension funds are waiting to pile in here, the recovery here would be dizzying! £2 billion buy order @ 150p flat on the open market could reveal the true value.
I really don’t believe big funds are selling out this low.

Great stuff here today, how many retail traders who are long can hold it together? The more leverage buyers jump in, the lower we are going to go. The big banks and funds know we are not so patient, they are happy to sell us some more at this level with the hope of buying back at lower price. This fall looks worse than 2008 crash.

Even a massive divi cut would still leave us with a decent 5% yield. NR hasn’t kitchen-sinked his predecessor’s strategy but instead improving it. That means no hidden skeletons in the cupboard. Remember when the new Tesco CEO started, he called in SFO. Today’s TU is 100% positive, anybody selling is dumb as there was no bad news.

What a great pension stock............forget your capital and be content with juicy divi. This share should not be traded if you are a day trader.

NR sounds bullish even though the numbers don’t look great. I like him, a good CEO must be able to stay positive at all times.

Nothing bad here, the MMs might drop this down Further to flush out weak stops. 160p by the end of the month is only possible if the EU exit deal is agreed. The liberty deal will pass once the current EU commissioner for competition has gone......she is deadly for businesses. She is going in May, France and Germany will not put a socialist in the position again. Watch out for takeover bonanza after May, American cash will flow towards EU.

This market prefers a huge plunge on result day so this move downward means a rally back to normal tomorrow.......160p by the end of the month if NR wants the SP higher.

We al know that the hype of emerging economies are a joke except the mighty China. I hate it when fund managers push dumb Brits to invest in EMs. Their currency is $hit and that affects revenue / profit reported in €,$,£. Vod was just bleeding money in India because most people there are poor as they live on less than $100 a month. Europe, China, Russia, North America, Australia and some Lat AM is where global companies should focus on. Africa and India can’t add reasonable profit in € terms.

Nice Ponzi scheme, Cake box must be doing the same thing too but I hope I’m wrong. They over expand just to gain hype and high revenue but at a huge loss!

Any update on Hydrogen EVs? I have seen just one Mirai this year but the new Hyundai ionic electric / hybrid is very popular with cabbies. Hydrogen EVs can give this share the hype it needs but the current models are crap.

Calm down guys, the market is just wiping out those leverage positions! Divi will be maintained but no chance of growing divi anymore. NR will cut costs deeper so SP is worth 200p but the market won’t pay that much unless we get some stake building rumour.
