I have investment here and just trying to point out the obvious...........the market wants growth and exposure globally. ITV board must respond to that instead of wasting money on holly, ant, dec and invest in HBO style TV series that keeps making money forever. Love island is good for product placement and young audience so I support that show even though I don’t watch it. Poldark and bodyguard are good as well as downtown abbey, the Queen show ......I am not 100% negative guys and do have 5% of my portfolio wasting away here.

Wow loads of $hit shows that cost a lot to produce only to generate buzz in the U.K and compete with BBC. Poldark, Bodyguard never ran on ITV, why? Those shows went straight to BBC, why? Did BBC pay more than amazon / Netflix? Amazon and Netflix don’t have oldschool and fake reality TV shows yet they are growing at a tremendous rate.
I heard Ant is sober now, may be the stock will rise when the grannies that adore him subscribe to ITVhub.

Old folks are dying out, useless shows like “I’m a celeb and old school soaps” are holding ITV back. Revenue growth rate says it all.........all those British shows are useless and not gonna grow revenue. About time to make global shows, the Americans think globally.

ITV must delist and move to AIM.

We can all forget the threat from Ofgem (they are losers) and Corbyn (impotent) while also noting the underinvestment in the Nuclear sector which would put pressure on the useless regulators to abandon the cap very soon. Toshiba and Hitachi just showed the middle finger to the British regulators and politicians, China and France are not friendly so won’t take $hit.

Gatemore with 35% holding need to make us an offer and stop wasting our time. This stock is dead, nobody will touch it if Gatemore doesn’t give consent. Retail holders are selling while directors scoop up at intervals. DX needs to be swallowed up or taken private by Gatemore (for their steady boring pension fund).

VOD is behaving like a pension.......just take your divi and don’t even think about SP rally. If you sell out, you lose 20% average. TW and BDEV looking good......nice rally there while I’m stuck in a pension stock at a young age.

You would think VOD was safer than TW, the market knows something that we don’t.

Could this be sold for a penny too? Retail investors must start looking to invest in private equity as most listed companies are dodgy even though they are generously paid to do a good job.

He will never become the PM, can we get a re-rate please? If he can’t reach out to the DUP and offer them what they want in regards to backstop, offer no contest to the seats of conservative remainers in election before the confidence vote then Corbyn is just as useless and brainless as the PM.

The market simply doesn’t like broadcasters and has been telling them to merge and compete with Netflix / Amazon or just develop and grow SVOD or ad-funded VOD properly. ITV hub is rubbish right now but if they focus on redesign, quality contents then it can make money via ads and subscription. ITV hub not on PS4 says it all.........dumb people are running the business. Netflix is churning out so much new (mostly crap) content that I am scared they will dictate price of content soon and it will be lower prices forever (Amazon effect). It’s about time to think global or European market and stop wasting money on dumb British shows with no global appeal.

I think BT did a great job by not covering their mess up, only God knows why uk public companies like to scam itself just to wipeout equity holders.

come on, it looks like the big boys won’t let this back above 180p until retail holders are wiped out. I’m digging in, deep trench filled with unbranded baked beans and rice to last 3 years.

Blame Don Vito, not the new guy............VOD will be fine but SP growth that we all want is gonna be hard to come by. FTSE 100 executives pay must be linked to SP performance, £150,000 cash salary should be the maximum cash payout while the rest should be in shares!

Big funds are waiting for the brexit drama to conclude before buying, big rally is on the horizon!

VOD was meant to be defensive, stable and steady.......no multibagging, no fancy takeover offer dreams. 180p should have been the floor but here we are going towards 140p.
I keep wondering why a company with so much cash like Apple or Berkshire won’t buy this solid asset at a cut price and get rid of the overpaid execs.

You are down only 16.5% so just stop complaining, some people here need 40% spike just to break even. ITV as a brand and business is worth 250p as it has low debt and can grow faster if it can make money with the itv hub or whatever they choose to call it when it is redesigned.

Flybe could easily raise £30 million from retail investors via crowdfunding but the dumb directors can’t make profit. Overpaid clueless people who just load up on expensive debt to cover excessive salaries should never run a listed company.
