Telcos have huge debt but they can merge to cut duplicate costs........we need mergers across the E.U to reduce cost and allow them to increase prices. A merger with DT would be good for pension funds and long term holders.

Telecoms sector is so undervalued that you would think people have stopped using their services. The sector is being held back by regulators and huge debt, coordinated price increases needed not more competition.

How can a old dog like VOD be sexy and trendy for the tech obsessed young investors? VOD is a god damn TECH company! Must VOD sell customers private messages or launch its own Ponzi coin to get some attention?
My patience is waning, oh Lord make VOD sexy again!

Blame the U.K market for general SP underperformance, dumb U.K execs that are entitled, MMs and shorters that make money from falling markets. Add CFDs and Spreadbets then you know why U.K shares stay low forever.
Shareholders don’t own highly indebted companies anymore, the bondholders and pension fund call the shots!

There are 4 types of people in the market.....

The Gods - market makers (they provide constant liquidity)
The Vultures - the brokers and hedgefunds who prey on retail holders
Longtimers - pension funds who are only interested in getting a yield and preserving capital
Fools - sorry guys but all retail holders with no inside info fall into this category until we have a direct P2P exchange

After a long read during my peaceful break from politics and dodgy market, I came to realise that we are not shareholders but punters and gamblers as we have no real say. The management can issue bonds and bankrupt a company very easily. We need new companies with 100% equity, digital shares and zero ability to issue bonds or borrow from banks.

You need to add all the divi paid out to make any conclusion. Real investors look at total returns while speculators are focused on the SP. BT is about to get transformed big time, I hope ofcom and EU regulators allow the telecom sector to merge, compete properly and try radical things.

Value & Defensives look cheap but not getting any love in the market. VOD will slowly climb above 200p by the end of Q2 hopefully.

Time to switch off till next year is now, merry Xmas to you all who have been nice! I wish for VOD to be above 200p this time next year.

I wrote to the imbeciles at Ofgem, they couldn’t put together an articulate answer. The silly desk office nerds went too far with the cap..........they lost their credibility. Water companies are monopolies and ripping people off so bad that you can’t even switch. Ofgem is switching people to dumb new players then allows them to go belly up. Ofgem should apologise for working for silly old politicians trying to win votes. A regulator must be independent and sensible instead of listening to dumb politicians who haven’t really worked a day in their life. The lame PM can’t even negotiate a reasonable deal.
Centrica must Sue Ofgem, the courts of this country have sensible judges who would note the 10 collapse of energy suppliers, volatility in energy prices, debt pile of energy companies that needs to be serviced. My stupid council tax is a monopoly, $h -it service but must pay or I go to jail.

Another 20% loss from here would do it, 100p is the big fat bottom!

You are the moron I’m afraid, ASOS is a poor brand (primark/ boohoo) so you cannot put any value on its brand. Go and check French Connection chart then you will understand. Next is another example........ASOS will trade below £10 soon and will never recover above £45 so keep averaging down.

ASOS is 100 times a better buy than boohoo, they had to release rns to keep their Ponzi going.....same MCAP as ASOS but boohoo sales is less than £600m.

I would give the brand value a super generous 750p which leaves us dead at £10. DYOR and compare with other fallen stars.......once the online hype goes it will fall even harder. Anybody here remembers YAHOO?

Averaging way too early, next update will reveal deeper discounting and increased logistics costs as new labour laws increase costs of delivery.

They only get to trade the shares and will not get their original investment back as ASOS does not pay dividend and won’t move into a premium listing on LSE. Why on earth would ASOS be scared of being more transparent? How many AIM companies have gone burst vs FTSE100?

My portfolio is in red but VOD is weighted almost 30% and just down 10% from my average excluding the juicy divi of almost 7%.
