Clipper logistics to make us an offer? There is a serious need to consolidate in the sector.......I hope I’m right, Debt is gone and takeover is looking likely with clipper as we have insiders on their board.

REITs can’t ditch divi as they need to pay 90% of profit as divi. They can declare no profit but must use the money to improve the balance sheet and make its assets attractive. I think the board should take a pay cut too as they are not moving with times. Shopping mall landlords can copy Facebook and amazon and focus on driving footfall first, then seek advertisement revenue instead of killing its tenants with rent increases!

Intu needs a serious bid from a buyer with hard cash. The whole SP collapse is driven by fears that intu won’t be able to issue cheap bonds to redeem expensive old ones because there is no growth story in physical retail anymore. The shorters must be bondholders and they are just hedging their bets. Not sure those past two bidders could tempt the bond market and raise money below 4%.

If intu and others can repurpose their malls to attract more footfall then things will get better.

Seems the fool put all his eggs in one basket as the posting history suggests, get a life and diversify next time.

The defensive part has kicked in, UK REITs, housebuilders, banks have all been whacked even before the parliament rejects May’s deal. The old lady has turned into a dictator lately.............it’s only my deal or chaos! May and the rest must be working for shorters.......they are making a killing!

This is only going one way, restaurants have been hurt by increase in minimum wage, brexit will affect efficient european labour, the board always overpay themselves, recession is on the horizon...........where is the profit going to come from. They could have bought some cheap fast food brand with low cost / high margin business.

Those big holders normally have real shares and don’t look at their screens everyday. They only worry about income and interest they get from loaning out there shares to shorters! We tiny retail traders / investors get the daily run around.

These dodgy guys know how to spread rumours and dumb analysis so that all retail holders can sell at a loss. 210p bid by an insider means a lowball but very fair value............115p is a bargain but not sure if peel and their friends have hard cash.

I hope amazon provides one for their online shoppers.......intu is a strong buy at these levels. 50% divi cut would still leave you more than 5% yield.

Those 52% were uninformed about reality as they were sold a big fat lie by bumbling politicians who couldn’t even gather 48 votes against a weak PM. Intu would have attracted 250p easily.

I was expecting some private equity to buy this dog but instead this dog overpaid a private equity for a money losing brand. The restaurant sector need automated kitchen, 100% frozen / longlife ingredients in order to generate respectable profits. RTN is buying just the brand along with huge debt and lease liabilities........all just to increase revenue in order to get juicy LTIPs?
