The funds have placed their orders already and it is in the MMs interest to keep the price as low as possible. Transfer of wealth from retail holders to funds is happening. Hard to make money quickly with these so called defensive companies.

138.8p average is too good to worry about losing money or sleep, quiet down now and let those people with higher averages moan!

The share buyback won’t have any effect as it must have been done already by JPM via options. MMs are shorting VOD for JPM

At this rate I would be able to make an offer of 1p per share for all VOD shares. Sorry guys, it’s simply business.

In ten years time VOD would have paid 130p in divis alone so this must be a pension fund top pick. A cut in divi still could return 7% per year. Pension funds are buying with both hands.....I know a fund that has built stakes in VOD aggressively.

TW. Has bounced 30% at least but the rest look solid on paper but remain consistent money losers by hitting lower lows without respite. I am happy that other people have similar stocks in their portfolio......phew I’m not cursed!

I’m deep in CNA, BT.A, ITV and VOD.......all look safer than AIM stock but performing so bad. I am an unlucky soul as I must admit............damn this market.

VOD loves to be RED, the logo says it all.

30% cut to the divi along with new growth strategies is what the shareholders need. About time we exit Africa and EM countries with useless currencies. Focus should be on the core then optimising our assets and brand power in core economies.

You are lucky to be a fresh buyer here, 180p is the first target but 200p - 230p is the holy land. You need to keep buying, adding then hold or else JPM will take your shares off you. Very strange the VOD has no shorts........MMs are exempt.

156p is a great average, I can buy them off you at 156p each if I won the jackpot. How much VOD are you holding?

A compliment from you would have been appropriate, I just reaffirmed my buy conviction in this share but it would be better to buy in tranches.......weekly or monthly. I told dbno not to trade this share as we keep making new lows......146/147p to 150p was his sure safe range which was shattered in just one day.

................but be prepared to keep buying weekly for the next 12 months.

This is not an AIM stock, can’t check trades here as the volume is crazy.

JPM will make easy £200 million profit by my calculations, all the shares going back to VOD’s treasury must have been bought already by JPM from who? Retail / pro traders via normal shares and CFDs definitely......I just hope we get back above 180p.
