Several years ago, I decided to concentrate my interest in 'big pharma' with GSK, which clearly hasn't been great... Been looking for a good entry point in AZN, having missed the last dip below a tenner, so today was the day! LTH, as is most of my p/f, so the Donald can pretty much do what he likes as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, I think the numbers justify a little boost this morning! :)

In addition to GGP I also hold some SRB (after Shanta was stolen..) but under present circumstances I'm tempted to broaden my exposure a bit further. The above seems pretty tidy to me. Anyone care to comment?

I mentioned Golden Prospect Precious Metals first, but received no response and then a little later another poster cited the same article by 'The Oak Bloke'. I initially got distracted and missed the low (42p) but later regained my concentration and made a start at 48p. I intend to add more, as I think it's a reasonable vehicle to spread some risk, but I would prefer some divs to flow into my ISA to fund another purchase. My initial post was to request views from other, which I would still welcome! :)

Jds15 - I've also read that MKS were woefully both under-protected and under-insured. When so much of their business is dependent on smooth reliable IT systems, this seems like a huge management fail to me. Let's hope it's a wake-up call for any other business which might be vulnerable. I shudder to contemplate the vulnerability of the NHS and other government departments...

I missed the prevailing low a few weeks back, but decided to stick a few in my ISA today, mostly for the risk-spreading advantage. Will be interesting to see how it performs compared to straight GGP/GRL. I think I can predict the outcome...

I think the last time I voted it was for Maggie. I lived abroad quite a bit (two of my children are actually American citizens) and from John Major forward I became increasingly dismayed at the both the quality of the individuals, and the policies they espoused. I was back in UK for Blair, running my own business, and remember thinking when his win was announced, I might as well not bother any more. I think on the whole, I was right...

Neither have I for about 30 years..

Partly because I live in a very safe seat, but mostly because I think in my lifetime, the quality of politicians has been on a constant slide, and garner just about zero respect from me.

Instead, I invest disproportionately in British companies (quite a lot in defence) which maintains my respect for my nationality.

However, at the next GE, I might waste a bit of shoe-leather, if a suitable candidate is in with a shout...

Yeah, got my intended top-up at 347 this morning having missed the lows yesterday. Wait and see time now...

I really don't know, but I'm inclined to at least wait for NY opening.
