My powder is like my martinis - very dry....

I placed a limit buy order for a modest number of shares and it didn't get booked all day, despite the traded price displayed on a well known and loved trading platform being lower than my limit on many occasions. It wasn't a life-changing amount, but interesting in its own right.

Does anyone think there's a chance we could get the site owners to subscribe to this minimum age policy for accessing certain websites? Personally, I'd prefer a minimum IQ level, but such right-wing views might get me locked-up....

Mole_man99 - I think the dip at Greggs might have more to do with Ozempic and its cousins than frugality. Phone/data service is beyond 'essential' these days and it's always been competitive.

Garonne - My sentiments entirely. All exterior news suggests a busy future for MRO. Their aerospace business has a very broad spread of customers across all sectors of aviation. So I think brokers should articulate thier views in greater detail if their opinion warrants any serious consideration.

That's a big part of the reason commercial banks basically have no option than to follow suit. The difference is, commercial banks can be seen to trade, whereas it behoves governments to keep their activities as far under the radar as possible. One reason there's been no published audit of Fort Knox...

Looks to me like a few big banks (particularly Citi) have been working to keep a lid on the POG because they need to buy more physical. As my old boss used to say (not long after the Hunt brothers tried to corner the silver market) - 'You can be the biggest in the market, but not bigger than the market'. He went on to execute the (then) biggest single cocoa purchase in history, but that's another story...

The USD looks set to continue to weaken, so not many places to go other than physical gold.
